Because the topic date and prediction was so specific, I'd welcome the original poster to update the thread with their comments.

He is hiding in his bunker full of canned food, water and gold coins. Maybe next groundhog day he will poke his head out and see if the world has come to an end.

Aristocrat is as broke as I am about.

He said he has like $150.00 to his name. So maybe he threw a few rugs over a clothesline out in the forest and is waiting it out akin to Dutch waiting to drop the lumber on the Predator.

Let's hope so. I'm tired.

Well for him to actually be wrong you have to give him till about 8 am EST because he was talking London starting a chain of events around their mid afternoon.

But for sure no later than Europe close of market. I am not holding my breath btw.

Well well well it's the 24 and I'm still here to complain about it. Why do I get my hopes up. The only prediction worth a dime is this prediction. Nobody in here knows squat. Anybody that thinks they have inside info is either a con artist , lunatic or an idiot. I have yet to see a solid prediction come true. Pffft and people still think 2012 is going to herald rainbows butterflies and free honey for all. Some people need To be dragged kicking and screaming back to reality.

All OK on the western front as such.

Britian is still here.

Markets have been looking upbeat overnight.

BUt OP I was convinced it was

Confimred

Is there a time point it happens today, as he makes the election speech?

Or 1 hour later?

Still waiting.

''24th MARCH 2010 IS DOOMSDAY''

If this is true then I will definitely be looking for you to make a seriously heroic effort to reveal your method even if it is insanely cryptic.
This recent 7 week market rally is just too ridiculous to even believe.

The OP was wrong.

Mark it down and note his credibility for his future threads.

Another doom-sayer running amok and clueless, all the while pretending he knows something.

Fail...

Checking in.

Does anyone know if we have met our doom yet?

Thought maybe I slept through it.

Not saying OP is right but it's too early yet - still waiting to hear the British Chancellor's Budget.

I think that's what the OP was referring to and it doesn't start until 12.15pm (about an hour and 10 minutes from now).

Edit to add from the original OP

To secure re-election, Gordo Brown is almost certain to have a "giveaway budget.. This will clearly be the last straw and trigger a panic as a debt downgrade will be feared..

This economically lethal cocktail will be presented on the afternoon of 24th March 2010, the equivalent to about 10am to Noon.

I do think this will be a possible tipping point, and as much as others may want to disprove that.. anything that really rocks the boat we are all in is not so good...

The upcoming election campaign is going to be pretty nasty, undermining of the strategy of money printing and bailouts etc is not going to be received well in the markets..

So from here on in, I think we are on a potential tipping point off the cliff.. but I do hope I am wrong.

Timing !

Fitch - a credit rating agency has just downgraded Portugal to AA-

Twitching the markets a bit - and the U.S. markets haven't even opened yet to show their reaction...

Apologies Vitchilo you beat me to it!
