Maybe, Just Maybe it won't be long before we all find out just how "Nasty" the Chinese military can be??

I also have a theory that if War broke out between China and the Good 'ol U.S. Of A, I think that you can bet your bottom dollar that other Countries (Not mentioning Korea),might just take China's side and become China's Allies.

Only if you can bring those numbers to where you need them,then feed water and continue to supply said numbers-If not big numbers can be a liability rather than an advantage.

The only thing China has to do to destroy us is a big EMP blast over the mainland US and over Europe.

Then we're back to the Dark Ages.

So yeah, China is a threat, so is Russia.

China knows they can't win a 1-on-1 fight on a plain with their military forces, but there's ALWAYS a way using asymetrical warfare.

I don't personally see China as a threat.

For one, I doubt their ability to think on their feet in a heated battle against a super power such as America. They don't have a flair for innovative thinking (not since ancient times anyway). Everything in China is either stolen, borrowed or copied... and their large army of foot soldiers (quantity over quality) is only useful if they can dump them on the ground somewhere. Good luck getting to wherever that is China.

And if it came down to the big weapons, America would win hands down!

I would also predict uprisings from the middle class who would give their left testicles to be 'westernized'. After a nice taste of our mod cons, they don't want to be cut off and plunged back into darkness.

Plenty of other reasons but I'll keep it short...

Who cares about their numbers if they have no way of invading the american homeland. China and Russia together couldn't invade the US. Do they have a fleet of ships or enough air lift power to transport over a million PA to the US shores.....NO. All they could do is emp/nuke the US which would only cause the american people to give the government the OK to unleash america's arsenal to the fullest.

When it comes to super powers these days none of them would win a war against each other so it's a moot point. Super powers use their military to invade weak countries that have geo-political significance, play tit for tat if you will in trying to gobble up yummy resources or building alliances with countries who have said resources.

The PLA is a paper tiger just like the old Soviets.

The Soviet Union used to spray paint rusted hulks and set them up so US military satellites thought the tanks and jets were operable.

The PLA is not far from that.

To the people saying China has a larger army, sure they have more troops. The PLA doesn't have the logistics network to feed or fuel those troops very far beyond their borders though.

Besides that, they would never make it anywhere by air or sea. The only naval and air forces that could put up a fight against the US Air Force and Navy is the combined forces of Europe. The PRC's Navy wouldn't even be able take the Royal Navy and probably would lose against Japan's.

The only thing all of those troops are good for is defense. China simply cannot project power and does not possess a true offensive military.

Yes but,

Quantity is a Quality of it's own.

And past experience teaches us that Quantity is superior to Quality.

A 2 million man Army in a nation of 1.5 Billion.

They could just surrender 2 million soldiers at a time and cripple the US economically just to feed them as POW's.

Our military systems don't use Chinese crapware.

Most of it is manufactured in the US. Some of its Israeli and Belgian.
The main guns on our tanks are made in Germany.

We represent a greater threat to their economy than they do to us.
They are selling off their US securities by the tens of billions and have been since last year.

What China is starting to understand, is that our global fiat financial system isn't consistent or concise. It can't be used as a weapon against us, its a tool for control and security.

Paper tiger? Do you think that the Chinese or Soviets would hesitate to use Biologicals if they felt threatned?

Even small countries don't need hardware in this day and age to be a very dangerous threat.

How much do you think treaties signed not to use chemical or biological weapons are worth? The Geneva convention, not to use torture? There is hidden evil so devistating that only the insane would think of using it.
