Well now, isn't this interesting. I don't want to start a whole debate on the issue of government run health care, but the point is this woman is clearly a hypocrite.

Here are some selected quotes from the article.

WASHINGTON–Sarah Palin's weekend admission that her family had travelled to Canada to receive treatment under the public health-care system she's so often demonized prompted skepticism and ridicule Monday among her critics in the United States.

"Believe it or not – this was in the '60s – we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse. I remember my brother, he burned his ankle in some little kid accident thing, and my parents had to put him on a train and rush him over to Whitehorse and I think, isn't that kind of ironic now. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada."

"The irony, one guesses, is that Palin now views Canada's health-care system as revolting, with its government-run administration and `death-panel'-like rationing," Stein wrote. "Clearly, however, she and her family once found it more alluring than, at the very least, the coverage available in rural Alaska."

Hardly surprising from someone with zero credibility...

I find it fascinating that politicians attract people with similar minds...I mean, Palin is a mindless clod, and those who admire her are likewise...

LMAO. you mean her PARENTS travelled over the border in the SIXTIES? hardly means that the Canadian system hasn't become a nightmare (which it obviously has) in the last 40 YEARS. haha. can you even read? i find this so amusing
my guess is no. Whoever wrote probably has your same literacy problems. Palin's death panel comment was about the healthcare bill in the US, not anything about Canada. gotta love it.

And how do you know that the Canadian Health Care system has become a "nightmare" in the last 40 years? Are you Canadian? Do you have any personal experience with the Canadian Health Care system?

Please, keep the personal attacks to yourself.

PS

I am quite literate, thank you very much.

OK. So now we are holding people to what their parents did? Sarah was born in 1964, and the article states this happened in the 60's, which means she wasn't any older than 6 years old when this happened. This is about the most pathetic attempt at smearing her I've seen so far.

Her parents did it, her kids did it...seems she is the odd man out.

She did however take a socialist job with a public option healthcare system (government gets a sweet healthcare package)

Canada's health care system can be a nightmare, I have a friend who is part native american indian. She just went in for an angiogram finally after waiting for 6 months after they found out she had circulatory problems in her legs. So they did the angiogram and found that she has a major blockage. They botched trying to put in a stent and even went through both sides of the groin. So now she has to wait another 6 weeks just to see a specialist so they can schedule surgery probably 4 to 8 weeks after that while she continues to deteriorate.

This is triage and rationing in the health care system. It almost seems like they would rather have her dead or crippled.

Cheers - Dave

Apparently that seems mighty fine when it comes to discrediting Obama. So while agree with you that we cannot blame her for what her parents decided, the same can be said in the case of Obama.

Also, her daughter decided to take on socialist healthcare, something Palin insisted was not in her and her families best interests. Its also surprising at the fact that given Palins wealth now from book deals, being governor etc why on earth would her daughter need to go on socialist healthcare??

We are currently changing our OHIP (medical ID ) cards to have a Picture

Identification, seems their are too many Illegals draining our Health System.

The Illegals are American's .

i've used the canadian health care system many times. i've never had a nightmare experience, always great care. i've also never heard of anyone that i've known having any problem experiences either actually. im sure that there are some people who have bad experiences with our system, but there will be a few bad experiences everywhere...no system is perfect, not even ours. but it is easier to access than other systems.
