And with good reason. US manned spaceflight is dead for the next 15 - 20 years. The heavy lift idea is a joke, we don't need another 5 year study
just to decide what type of vehicle to use. As someone else said, 5 years to study the concept and we might be able to decide on the color of the
vehicle in another 5 years. Folks, NASA is dead, US manned spaceflight is dead, but, if we're lucky, we just might be able to hitch a ride to
low-earth orbit with the Russians, Chinese, Indians or heck, maybe even the North Koreans by then!
Seriously, I don't think I'll see another US spaceflight in my lifetime after the shuttles are retired. I just can't believe that a country that
put men on the Moon in 1969, can't even get into low-earth orbit 41 years later....it's just unbelievable.
