As odd as it might sound, I would probably miss mayonnaise the most. I can't imagine a sandwich without it. Tea/Sugar/Soda top out the list.

I don't think I would miss it at all. I really don't care what I eat or whether I eat at all or not. Once in a great while I feel hungry. Most of the time I feel so much sadness by what I see going on in the world that I could be dining on the finest cuisine and it would still taste like paper.

I have to ask this...Is your sadness a result from things
you read here? If the answer is yes,I would stay off for
awhile.Do something that takes your mind away from all
this doom and gloom stuff.

What would you miss eating if the stores all closed?Do you
like chocolate,fancy little cookies,frothy coffee drinks?Think
about this and let us know.

But the only thing is we'v ordered some Hives honey is better than sugar!

And you certainly can't grow the wheat for flour to make the bread here in the West of Ireland - so that's your bread out of the _ Mind I guess the trees are auld sally trees so at least you can make aspirin. You should have plenty sorrel growing as well and that takes away hunger pangs.

I would miss ice cream. It's one of the basic food groups... not part of dairy either, it's its OWN food group!!!

The basic food groups are:

Grains
Fruits
Vegetables
Dairy
Meats
Nuts
Ice Cream
Bacon Bits

Oh yeah... I would miss bacon bits too!

[edit to add: Also need whipped cream and chocolate syrup... not for the ice cream...for kinky wife night!]

I thought why would anyone miss paper towels, then I spilled my dinner! Humm, paper towels are handy.

I forgot about ice cream. I would miss that, too.

I'd miss chocolate...

Not so much cheese, because you CAN make cheese yourself - now, it wont be nearly even close to the same as Armstrong, or Crackerbarrel - but you CAN make it if you have a goat or a cow.

Soy Chai Latte's.

Holy cheese lovers. You do realize its not all that hard to make cheese? Even from powdered milk if you had to in a pinch. Stockpile extra rennent and you should be able to keep yourself in cheese for awhile. Mozz is very easy.
But I learned long ago that it is far cheaper, and better for you to learn how to make and store your own foodstuffs. Be it honey, beer, veggies, meats, sugar(from beets), tobacco, wine, flour, etc...

I will have to check out rennent and cheese making. Thank you for the info.

Do you really grow your own wheat and grind it into flour, and make your own sugar?

If you have all the ingredients you can make mayo, but it probably wouldn't taste the same as your favorite brand in a jar.

Mayo is interesting. You can have tons of food and still starve to death if you don't have fat in your diet. Mayo is also salty - a great combination.

I am sorry you are sad. Yes there is alot of sadness, but even in the sadness there is much joy. Perhaps you need to talk to someone.
