I didn't find this posted anywhere, if it has been posted, please delete thread.

An interesting cloud formation appeared over Israel March 08, 2010. In the video also an orb is visible, though I am not sure if that is just a reflection on the lens of the camera or some other anomaly.

I thought this was a fairly unusual event. Seems to be happening a lot lately.

There was one over Lee St Beach in Evanston a few years back. Stayed there all day long, while lightning and thunder kept beaches north and south of it

As said, the cloud is a naturally occurring hole-punch cloud.
As for the "orb", I think it could simply be the Moon, and here's why...

When photographed "normally" (non-telephoto, non-zoomed, and non-cropped) the Moon looks surprisingly tiny in pictures. The Moon always seems bigger in real life than in a picture. Most pictures of a "bigger" Moon that you probably see are taken with a zoom or telephoto lens.

Here are examples of pictures of the Moon using a normal lens:

If you don't believe me, go take a picture of the Moon using your normal camera lens and no "zoom". The Moon in the picture will look surprisingly small.

According to the OP, this video was taken today (March 8, 2010). The Moon is presently is near its "last quarter" phase, meaning it looks like a half-moon.

So, in my opinion, this seems to be a video of a normal, natural hole-punch cloud and the Moon.

G'day ~~Galaxy

That's just a radar glitch.....it's very well documented.

It's not actually indicative of an object being there.

Kind regards

I don't know what it is, but it sure is beautiful! The pictures on the Cloud Appreciation website are too. Some of those clouds look like angel wings or feathers, while others look like airplanes and even ufo's. Some of them are breathtaking.
