The thing I know about Facebook groups is that everybody makes one up for whatever it is that they happen to like most and then enters it into the popularity contest.

A freakin' Facebook ATS group? What about the ATS ATS group? I'm just bitter since I found out there are like 30 Daniel Negreanus on Facebook...

Ok, I'll join it and become a fan and share it.

Yeah see, there's 3 FB ATS groups. One with a thousand members, one with just over 160, and another with 53.

Most members would not join a Facebook group even if it was fully sanctioned and endorsed by the Three Amigos +1 (sorry Crakeur) due to it would reveal too much private information to the public.

That and the conspiracy that FB is government ran info gathering.

Haha that's why I said no pressure. I know a lot of people keep their real lives, and their ATS lives separate. Also there's that.. Facebook is Gov't run. But I still think the 'popularity' of ATS would rise, if Facebook did the same! And when the popularity of ATS grows, the popularity of Truth grows! It's all domino's. It's gotta start with something!

Maybe the whole Twitter thing is a better route, as it doesn't give near as much information! But I still route for both!

I'm not afraid to join, as I have nothing to hide. If anything were to happen to me I only hope it would make the statement that I wasn't just a crazed conspiracy theorist. The more they try to shut us up, the more attention the subject receives. If ATS facebook were more popular, the moment they shut it down, everyone is going to question why they did. That just starts a whole new group of people questioning our 'censorship'. Why would they have to shut something down if it weren't true? I think we're making a difference, no matter the outcome.

Good man, glad to see someone helping to educate people on this site about personal info on facebook and typing that to a site that gets monitored for crazy people.

If they /really/ wanted to, they could get your information one way or another. There is no sense in being afraid of them, as the outcome can only create a positive message. Like I said before, they shut us down, it just creates more controversy. Facebook and Twitter seem to be the way of the people, so I suggest that we spread the truth (and love) through outside sources!

Can I just say that since I posted this, two hours ago, there has been 10 new members.
That's a pretty rapid growth for an unpopular group! I was mainly posting this for people who ARE willing to join. I'm not asking anyone to do something they don't feel comfortable with. If you're worried about privacy, you can change your settings. People should never post their address, or telephone number either way. Once it's online, it is accessible to many.

ATS & Facebook is like oil & water.

One of the things that makes ATS so great is "mystery" factor involved.
Why kill it by combining your personal life?

If I had any worries I can go mobile on my 3G myfi card. Sure, still trackable but more like a submarine. Battery out to sink, battery in to hit broadcast depth. Plus the added benefit of not only having to monitor being online, it takes knowing which towers will be doing the triangulation to go for a rapid response to capture.

Fifteen members in 3 hours, I'd say that's pretty impressive! I haven't seen it grow since I joined four days ago, but once I post this, 15 new members?
Do you see what I mean? Facebook is a chain reaction, Facebook is the way to get across to the 'average' joe! xD

Just an update, 20 new members in one day, It grew that much, in a day! I only wanted to start this post, because I didn't know if people were aware that we'd gone FACEBOOK. We have a Twitter link, but not a Facebook link. I just thought I'd try and be helpful. ^^

Having read a post somewhere that an American citizen in a court case had his 'facebook' blog printed out and used against him in the court, no way am I going on facebook, same as I wont have a cell phone, is 'they' want to know where I am, 'they' will have to look for me, paranoia being my middle name.
