If you read a lot more on it, you will discover that "aerosol spraying" is not the only concept being considered, in the realm of combating any
potential climate change disasters that are determined to be man-made.
Other schemes involve a layer of reflective substances, to increase the Earth's albedo, that would FLOAT on the oceans' surface. On the water.
After all, remember about 3/4 of the Earth's surface is ocean, right?
Also. effectivity of albedo increase, in order to reflect as much IR from the Sun as possible, would be far more potent is applied nearer the
equator.
The Pacific Ocean is HUGE, especially at equatorial latitudes.
THEN there is South America, Africa, Indonesia, etc.
Really, a little bit of common sense, and these "chemtrail" claims are shown to be without merit.
Not to mention: The sheer SCOPE of such a project, the tons and tons of material that would have to be lifted off the Earth's surface, in order to
be deployed. That is an incredible task, quite possibly not even economically feasible, either.
Finally, any material "sprayed" at very high altitudes is more likely to STAY there, and become diluted over time, as it spreads, and is carried by
the prevailing winds.
People who believe in "chemtrails" have this misconception that something sprayed directly over their heads at 35,000 feet will somehow drop
straight down on top of them. That is patently untrue, and nonsensical.
Anyway....I really think that we, as a civilization, just do not yet have the technology to beat the naturally occuring climate changes that Earth
undergoes. We will adapt, as other species have over the millions and billions of years of life on Earth. Some species may be fatally harmed, and go
extinct.
Humans, though, will require a very dire catastrophe to completely wipe us out. Because, due to our intelligence (such as it is) we have a slightly
better adaptive edge, compared to other species.
