I offer my sympathies and prayers for the victims.

I've spent a great deal of time in Taipei on and off over the years, and every time I've been there, I've thought how horrific a major earthquake could be. Many of the larger, older buildings in that city are in extremely shoddy shape...its a wonder some of them are still standing.

Is there an earthquake machine? Who is pushing the button.

Those ET characters are going to stick it straight up our asses.

Stop looking for Bin Laden. Find the ET things who do this.

I am no expert on this topic but this "ring of fire" seems overly active. I hope some of the ATS experts pop in and give us their input on this.

This world is really on edge in all ways. From the wars, to these numerous earthquakes, to the terrible weather and outright political criminality. Hmm, Matthew 24 anyone?///

Wow.. glad it didn't hit a major city like Taipei. (The Taipei 101 is located 30 yards from that fault BTW) The T101 has a massive counter-weight damper installed on the mid deck core to offset big quakes.

Wonder if the T101 was shook?

Amazing video of the damper in action:

Only 3 months in.... it's impossible to say whether this year will be worse than previous years until later on in the year, or possibly the year's end.

Don't know if it's ET or not. ET does have a very long finger though.
