The bottom line is that banks like Goldman have learned absolutely nothing from the global economic meltdown. In fact, they're back conniving and playing speculative long shots in force — only this time with the full financial support of the U.S. government. In the process, they're rapidly re-creating the conditions for another crash, with the same actors once again playing the same crazy games of financial chicken with the same toxic assets as before.

Another great Rolling Stone piece by Matt Taibbi about how corrupt this bailout business was. This is a must read for anyone interested in just how these banks raped the taxpayers of their money, and how our government helped them.

Also a great read for anyone interested in nuclear powered testicles!

Why should they care and why should they change their practices?

Let me put it this way:

Let's say you go to a casino daily and gamble as much money as you want. Some days you win and profit, other days you lose your shirt. Well, what if on the days that you lost money, there was a man standing outside of the casino handing you money with the directive: Tomorrow, gamble with this.

Now, would you stop gambling? Hell no! Because on the days you win, you profit. And on the days you lose, someone else picks up the tab.

We need to start a new national campaign: Bail on the Banks.

Put a bumper sticker on your car and move your money to your local bank or credit union.

It will not be until WE THE PEOPLE bail on the banks that the bailout of banks will stop.

Fortunately for GS they don't lose often or else that would be a problem.

Not only employ the best traders on the street I am sure they get the memo a few hours before the rest of us.

Agreed.

I think the problem is that most people don't realize that the same people that we have appointed to regulate these banks are actually still involved with those banks, and that because of that we are already heading back into the exact same situation we started in.

I was amazed at the simplicity of the scams that these people were running that are outlined in this article, and how many people on Wall Street knew and but kept their mouths shut.
