Go for a short name. Kiki, Kiwi, Yuki, Suki, Kiyo... something along those lines.

I used to have a very similar acting cat...

We called her "Zsa Zsa"...after Zsa Zsa Gabor (that, and because she liked to slap at people)...

Of course, I was always partial to:

CAT (pronounced See - Ay' - Tee, with an Italian accent)...
That way, your friends may take a while to "get it" that you just named your cat, CAT...

To go with the ancient-warriors theme (Viking) you could call her Amazon, nickname Mazy.

Or Winnie. I don't know why, I just like it.

Hi Tribe

My nephew has a cat named Eightball. But he's a boy cat.

How about P.S. ?

My dear little girl,

You're my kitty, and I adore you.

P.S. --- I finally named you.

I would call your cat 'Hobbit'!

A neighbour of mine, recently bought a cat and she called hers
Gandalf, after the wizard in 'Lord Of The Rings'

Gandalf is a strange feline, my neighbour takes him in to the
shower with her and washes it without incident.
I sometimes see him peeking around the bushes at the bottom
of my garden, when my neighbour is sunbathing... probably after
small birds and mice.

Calling your cat Hobbit isn't such a silly idea, when your neighbours
find small-dry strange smelling objects buried in their soil, they can
comment "that's a nasty hobbit, you got there!"

Just a thought.

Heh heh...

I have two cats. One I named dog because she follows me around everywhere and sticks her tongue out like a dog does. My second one I named monkey because he climbs trees all the time.

Suggestion: Give names that relates to the animal's unique, quirky personality. It just so happens that mine are species-challenged, so they fit.

I have two cats. One is named Puck. she is solid black and when she was a kitten she ran around the house at 90 mph, like a hockey puck.

For our classier friends, we put on a front and say it is after the character in a Midsummer Nights Dream.
