It don't happen with me. Have you checked your internet connection? Because sometimes when I spend a long time online my connection seems to lag a little.

Did you just upgrade to firefox 3.6?
I seemed to have a bad lag problem, long loading times, with ATS after I had upgraded firefox recently. I solved it by switching my browser to google chrome.

If your using mozilla then these simple tweaks might help

*In a new tab window type:

about:config

(Dont be alarmed at the dialogue it shows just press "ill be careful"

*Locate the following entries and change as shown

network.http.pipelining to true

network.http.proxy.pipelining to true

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to some number like 30.
This means it will make 30 requests at once.

To finish your tweaking just right-click anywhere and select New->Integer.

Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0 (Zero)
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

Have fun :-D

Great info, Thank you, I am wondering why I wasn't aware of this feature, am usually pretty up on the tweeks.

You should start a thread on these about:config tweeks, this is pretty resourceful info to avid Firefox users. I found a few sites that have a lot of tweeks other than the ones you mentioned.

I would do it, but it is your thunder so to speak.

I am going to U2U this as well.

I've noticed this happening in conjunction with some of the ads. Specifically the animated Sprint ads, and recently the Alice ads that seem to take over the browser until the animation runs it's course.
