We need to expand the war on terror! I think we should only spend...meh...2 trillion dollars on this one though.

Al-Qaida growing in strength and numbers in Af

WASHINGTON — Al-Qaida's terror network in North Africa is growing more active and attracting new recruits, threatening to further destabilize the continent's already vulnerable Sahara region, according to U.S. defense and counterterrorism officials.

The North African faction, which calls itself Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), is still small and largely isolated, numbering a couple hundred militants based mostly in the vast desert of northern Mali. But signs of stepped-up activity and the group's advancing potential for growth worry analysts familiar with the region.

lol nice...it's amazing how well we find Al-Quida after they move in. Then we go OMG they moved over there. How are they fighting us in Irag and Afganistan? I thought they only had 2,000 members and now populate 3 continents. They are expanding faster than rabbits.

Haha too true it seems america will just bomb the entire world searching for Al-Qaeda or any of it's factions. I can't wait to see how this looks in the history books in a hundred years.

GG America bomb them all to hell, burn them to ashes. The country is much safer now, hardly any terrorist attacks are getting through LOL.

We cannot destroy Al-Queda with a bunch of bombings around the planet. If we caught the leaders of the groups, influenced the terrorist that they can still live in a Muslim society and then we can work with them from there.

I seem to recall making a 2010 prediction in a thread about the war expanding to Africa. What do I win? What do I win?

Seriously, the writing was on the wall with this back in December when the headlines started reading: Pirates join with the Taliban. Africa: The new Taliban headquarters?

As a note: There is a lot more to Africa that the US and UK want other than the Taliban in my opinion. I'll leave it at that since I am not in the mood to be flamed tonight.

I think if America keeps pulling this BS with all these countries eventually someone is going to form a "Coalition Of The Willing" and wipe the US of the map for all the terrorism they created!

I certainly think it would solve a lot of the worlds problems.

I had a thread about this but yeah, terror wont be defeated. There's always going to be terrorism. Bombing more countries isn't going to solve the issue.

hmmm, North Africa ...specifics ? Morocco and Algeria only ? that will be interesting ! Given the borders of Gibraltar and Europe (southern Spain) - a tie - up / blame scenario with E.T.A perhaps ? Or a rattling of old Andalacia Moorish origins ?

Globalise the fanatics into our mainstream holiday destinations virtually and cripple the Costas (of Spain) to what end ? Protectionism ??? You're only safe (ish) holidaying at home ?

Any more war we get into, I want a governmental promise that we are going in there for Gold, Oil. Slaves, Technology, or straight up Cash.

All these principles wars is just making us dead broke...at least if its overtly over resources you can argue about what great nations need to do to remain great...no more of this going in to bomb mindsets of random people to keep us safe

Then I want a transparent review of all the spoils of war and where the money is going...followed by a nice check!

It will help unemployment.

If we don't get out of these wars VERY SOON it's not going to matter either way.

Africa? Meh! I suggest we attack China and Russia AT THE SAME TIME! I mean if WW2 boosted our economy, imagine what WW3 would do! It would be paradise and we would all drive ferraris!

Of course most the younger generation would die, but eh, you can't spend yourself out of depression, but you sure as hell kill yourself out of it!

No but seriously now , i doubt we will reach there seeing how there are other sites of higher importance for the people on top . In the future? who knows..nobody is safe , not even ourselves who live here , and that says a lot.

With the war in Iraq winding down, and no jobs for the returning soldiers,
what else to do with them, then have a Make Work War, for soldiers.

It will also count towards "Jobs made , or saved".
