If I understood an article that I read this morning correctly, it's not every day that is shortened, but rather is was just that one day that the
earthquake occurred. The reason is that when the quake happened, it would have given the Earth a sudden jolt that would have sped it up slightly. I
may be wrong though.
But, to me it's really interesting that the Earth's axis has shifted three inches. That was some jolt! I wonder if that would do anything to the
climate. I wonder if any and all star charts are amiss now. Like, stars and plants won't set at the right time now, or be in the positions that
we've calculated them to be in at the right times!
