I have the same problem with sleeping near mirrors. I have no idea why though. Any clues?

not sure..For myself it is because I grew up seeing spirits and when I was a child I got into a habit of hiding mirrors to make it a little harder to see things lol.

Greetings

I would have to agree with other members here that to my knowledge, mirrors are and have been used as scrying tools, as portals to dimensions outside of our own, and if one knows how, a number of other uses...
I had a small incantation once to see ones 'true face' in the mirror.. sitting crossed legged, eyes closed first as the words 'quick silver, mirror silver, show me my true face' are said, lights off, coloured candle of ones choice lit in front, open your eyes and look as soon as the words are spoken.. no its not some 'bloody mary' school kid bs, some see either past faces or a true' face beneath the one they have... if that makes sense.. others however see nothing different at all..
Mirrors in general have been associated world wide from ancient times to present day with spirits and spirit contact..

And yup, every mirror in my house is protected!

Mirrors help to catch the attention of demons and dark spirits by catching their image long enough for them to stop and stare at themselves. Once they see themselves in the mirror, they are reminded of what they are and flee the area where no mirrors exist. As long as you have a small mirror at the front of the house and in the rear and with some scattered mirrors spread out throughout the house will be sufficient to always capture the demons "stare". Once the demons stare has been attracted to the mirror, the stare into the mirror will eventually make them flee and seek some place that does not have mirrors hanging around.

So far this has worked well because it keeps the demons outside the house and whenever they see or catch a glimmer of light shining from the mirror they are attracted like moths to the porch light. Unfortunately, mirrors are not for demons and dispossessed spirits which is why mirrors work so well to repel demons and evil spirits that intend to do harm or which seek to find a human shell to possess while remaining unseen and undetected.

This posting is indeed a good topic, but to fully understand this mirror phenomena with regard to how it repels demons and evil spirits, one would have to also gain a background in advanced magical practices and how to properly call and control demons and spirits from realms. Since this is not intended for those that have no background or understanding, placing mirrors around the house is actually a good thing that the uninformed can benefit from.

Just remember that if you ever look into a mirror and see a demon entity contained by the mirror that you must immediately remove and destroy the mirror in a manner consistent with burning the mirror and allowing the flames to crack the mirror on its own. Such a crack created by flames renders the entity incapable of doing anything but returning from where they came from.

Only in such a manner will the contained demon be released back to their realm without fighting you to resist the effort to remove them. If they fight back and are not contained, it will be ugly and difficult at best.

Thanks for the posting and learn to keep a few mirrors around even if you just don't get it. The demons will understand and that is what is more important than understanding why it works so well.

Well.. just goes to show you how disconnected people who believe in that stuff are..

Mirrors are usually used for actually communicating with spirits and demons and garbage like that. Satanists use them the most.

People are so disconnected, they are using demon summoning tools to ward off angry spirits and it works.. goes to show you what to believe.

It's all placebo. In the mind.

Interesting but I would disagree and say that people who “believe that stuff” are actually much more aware of their surroundings than otherwise assumed and they thus take steps and use tools to further enhance their vision. I would certainly not accuse them or think of them as being disconnected; rather from where I am sitting the opposite is true.

I do not think it really matters who uses them the most because as far as I am concerned what really matters is that more and more people learn to use them correctly and to gain some sort of useful insight.

For myself I have considered buying a skrying mirror as a friend of mine from long ago, a Wiccan witch used to swear by them but in those days I was not ready to listen only to be wowed by his skills. The only reason I have not bought one is because I have my own tools and methods these days for connecting to what I can only call a matrix of persistent but hidden energy.

Demons or living beings separated only by vibration?
Without more lateral and free thinkers who are willing to make serious efforts to find out more then of course these entities are going to be assumed to be demons but I think they are just people living in a different reality.

They may or may not look and think like us but like I said much more has to be learned because we cannot even agree if Wiccans, skryers and the like are even sane let alone qualified to find out for the betterment of us all.

My idea of a demon are that they are the beasts of myth, black legendary creatures that should be consigned to past. The name “demon” is part of the indoctrination of fear as far as I am concerned in that if you keep the people scared you keep them controlled.

I have been meditating, looking for answers for so many years now that I would say it is all another reality and in the mind only because until we can open a door or window and push through the layers of vibration the connection can only ever be in the mind.

However is it all created by the mind as you say?

Subjectively I would say no way amigo because too many weird things have happened to me while meditating that have shocked me or left me deeply introspective for hours after the fact.

Objectively I would say that it is possible as the mind is incredibly powerful and we have scratched barely the surface. I would be doing myself no favours if I did not take that possibility under consideration.

Time will tell one way or the other!

You could argue that ANYTHING is the placebo affect. That NOTHING exists unless our mind invents it.

It's a very interesting line of thinking, but, until you can back it up, its a hollow argument.

Everything that is physical is a tool for the mental. There are still specific physical things that hold more power than others.

Personally I was a child when I saw the spirits of my greatgrandfather, my spirit guide, and even Jesus and a few Gurus of other religions. I was also able to see animals. It is a natural gift from God.

What is wrong with tools if they are supplied to help the blind see? -or to help those who are not psychic exercise those intuitive muscles so that one day they can be strong enough to do it on their own.

A lot of people need tools to connect to the Other Side just as a lot of non-artists need to have help painting a picture using paint by number. Not everyone is a medium or psychic and that is fine. We all have our gifts here on Earth. We are all different. Yes, everyone can be connected..but not everyone is born naturally able to be clairvoyant and not everyone is meant to..and not all people to the same degree-There are many different abilities- from empaths to clairsentients.

I don't believe that majority of those who can communicate to the Other Side even believe in Satan or follow a dogma of any sort to any major degree. I'm uncertain where all this demon talk came from...and I don't see anything as a placebo here. Tools are to concentrate- you can use anything.

I already posted on my experiences and uses concerning mirrors and the spiritual. However, something that Zsaqulzs78th and Zerra brought up.

Why does any "spiritual" person need to belong to only one faith? I find it impossible to believe that I am the only person here who has multiple faiths under his belt.

This "belief" that everyone can only have one religion or belief is obscene. It should be done away with.

Well, I have always heard that mirrors were spiritual portals. Some say that they can cause spiritual disturbances if you are not careful. So, if that be true, then I wouldn't suggest you do that at all. I don't know. I just thought you might find it of interest.

Many cultures believe that a mirror must be covered when there is a death in the home to prevent the soul, or spirit, of the departed from being trapped in the mirror. Some even believe that if you look into the mirror, after a death in the home, that the recently deceased's spirit will take your soul into the mirror where it will remain trapped forever.

You know, my dad told me a story one time. He has passedon now, God bless him, but anyway.....

He always had a habit ofgetting upin the middle of the night and going to the restroom. Anyway, when he still had fairly dark hair, he said he got upone night and done his nightly urinating routine and was going to go back to bed. However, for whatever reason, he looked in the mirror, and he said he was completely white headed!!!

Anyway, needless to say, when he got up the next morning, he was relieved to see that wasn't the case. I thought I'd bring that up because it is somewhat similar to your tale. Albeit a less morbid one.

I have been using mirrors as paranormal apparatus for a considerable time. I have made this video MIANYANG for you to understand. MianYang is Chinese mandarin meaning "To look at the stars in the sky reflected in a body of water". Basically what is a mirror ? It is far more than most persons realise. It has to do with what scientists are calling Quantum Entanglement. QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT [QE] is not, as some believe it to be, the transfer of "information" at greater than the speed of light, at absolute velocity, or any velocity. QE is what some call "worm hole in space" what Albert Einstien called "The folding of the fabric of time and space". It is the "Oneness of All Things". Take a sheet of paper. It is a two dimensional surface. Draw a point A and a point B. The distance between point A and point B is about three inches. Point A and point B are separated by space and it takes time to travel the three inches between them. But that is only because they exist in two dimensional space. If we introduce a third dimension we are then able to fold the paper in that third dimension. In folding the paper we join point A to point B. Then the separation between point A and point B is zero. No separation. Interestingly we all experience this QE in our subconsciousness which is, relative to our mundain daytime consciousness, a higher dimensional domain.

This is a bit off topic, but I had a really weird mirror event once when I stayed in a very old (and very haunted) cottage. Although there seemed to be a number of spirits in the property, there was one which seemed to be quite evil, everyone who felt it believed it had intent to harm.

In the living room of the cottage, I had hung a huge mirror over the fireplace, that I had for years, as it was so big, it had a triple thick string and two picture hooks to suspend it. One day while I was at work, I just had a real bad feeling about the house and as I'm quite intuitive, was worried I had been burgled, so I went home at lunch time and whilst everything was in order, no break in or theft, the huge mirror above the fireplace had fallen off the wall. The string was still intact and the hooks were still firmly in place, the glass of the mirror wasn't broken, but the frame was as it had fallen onto the stone hearth. The only other damage was to a number of ornaments that my daughter had made at a craft shop (she was devastated as she had immortalised all of her hamsters that she had owned and they were all beyond repair) the only undamaged one was of a dragon, that she didn't particularly like, but as she loved going to the craft shop she had made it as it was the only model available that day. It was weird that this was the only undamaged one as it was in the middle and I don't see how the mirror could have missed it, yet hit all the rest.

I phoned a friend to come and have a look at the mirror to see if they had any suggestions as to what happened, but as we both agreed that both the hooks and the string was intact and there was no way a draught could have blown the mirror as it was way to heavy, it remained a mystery. I didn't put the mirror back up as the frame was too badly damaged and after that the evil presence got very strong a bothered my daughter (who was 10 at the time) a lot. We moved quite soon after that as the place was causing us a lot of anxiety, but I am sure that something paranormal happened to that mirror that day and I'm still without an explanation.

Good post!

As a child I read Alice in Wonderland and Alice through the Looking Glass.

Many people have wondered if mirrors could be used as portals to other dimensions or time travel.

Research, "Project Looking Glass".

that is a strange, sad story. I'm so sorry about you losing your cats. Jimmy suffered, but Bob maybe had it better. Maybe hes' with Jimmy now? And that would probably make Jimmy very happy. That's what I got out of the story. Thanks for sharing.

Mirrors do some wild things in Lucid Dreams and Astral Projection. If you are able to Lucid Dream, try putting your head into a mirror next time and report back on what happens.

Past faces..... that's interesting to ponder. More than once I have stared at myself in the mirror and been disturbed because I thought it wasn't me looking back. Kind of like the physical face I was seeing wasn't me, I felt like my real face was not being reflected back. It's happened a few times, but two of those times it really freaked me out. It made my world seem not so certain.

I remember reading somewhere recently that some paranormal researchers believe that having two mirrors facing each other can somehow amplify the paranormal activity happening in a location.
Just throwing that out there...

I had a good size mirror mounted on my dresser when I was a kid - off to the side of my bed. I used to run full speed at my bed from the adjoining room and dive into the bed so that I wouldn't be reflected in the mirror (at least from my perspective.) That mirror always creeped me out and at night it was downright terrifying for some reason.

I'm on the fence with paranormal stuff - both halves of my brain are able to come to conclusions about things. One side knows mirrors are simply reflecting light. The other side is open to the possibility that there's more to it than that. BOTH sides are convinced that there is more to reality than what we commonly know.
