Law makes Scotland attractive to Net paedophiles, says expert

A leading criminal psychologist has warned that Internet paedophiles may move to Scotland to take advantage of weaker sentencing guidelines on the downloading of child pornography.

Scotland's Appeal Court ruled on Thursday that Internet paedophiles should not face more than a one-year prison sentence for downloading child pornography. The decision followed the appeal of the international weightlifter Alan Ogilvie, whose sentence was reduced from two years to six months for downloading 22,000 obscene images of young boys from the Internet.

The three appeal court judges rejected the view that child pornography is a "victimless crime", but advised that the downloading of indecent photos for "personal gratification" should not necessitate a jail sentence of more than nine to 12 months -- except in "the most exceptional circumstances".

There are plenty of court cases, including those presided over by the accused, which show bias towards the paedophile and against the victim. Ask yourself why this is.

Forget the paedophiles, solve low level crime to meet government targets, police told

Police were forced to stop investigating a paedophile ring so they could chase Government targets for less serious offences, it was revealed yesterday.

Detectives were told that arresting a group of active child abusers would count as only "one tick in the box".

They were instead encouraged to use their resources to trap large numbers of burglars, according to a Police Federation review.

The incident was one of many examples of a target-chasing culture-uncovered by the nationwide study - the first of its kind.

The review also found that a specially-equipped car, staffed by a traffic officer and a senior detective, was diverted to catching drivers who were not wearing their seatbelts rather than tracking known criminals.

here is just another example of how they are trying to make paedophilia acceptable and nothing to worry about as they are going to let them get away with it (handy when it is then committing these terrible crimes huh?).

i gave many examples like this in another thread i made recently on ats which was deleted because they didn't like the title - a pathetic excuse for ignoring this horrendous tide of trying to make a sick and depraved disease acceptable. how very very sad that people can be outraged over the title of a thread and totally ignore it's content?

how many of you out there have children and are ignoring this thread? will you care when it is your child being abused and nobody will do anything because you all stood by and let it happen. how many without children reading this are repulsed at the thought that paedophilia isn't regarded as a serious crime? will you complain if they finally legalise it due to lack of public concern? kids tv channels for pervs? child brothels? centre spreads of 5 year olds? when will you draw the line and say you wont accept this behaviour?

if you truly care - don't just say you do - don't even just sign up to the facebook group and say 'there im supporting you because i joined your group' -- join us and get active to stop this despicable crime from being the next big thing to do!

It's a shame that they did this but i can see where they are coming from.

Such Allegations are very very serious and i'm not saying it's not true or anything like that but peoples lives are at stake when it comes to something like this.

There is a time and place for these groups and facebook is not one of them.

Not a great official site in my opinion, it often doesn't load, having to join to read stuff is a bit odd, and I think the Dunblane Massacre stuff, although intriguing, should be kept seperate, especially as the connections aren't made clear.

In fact I didn't learn anything here that you can't find in many other sites.

But I read the forum, and it's interesting to see the 'birth' of the Facebook idea through people's communication. The youth feel that Facebook worked against a huge corporation, namely Simon Cowell's X FACTOR show winners (who had claimed the last few Christmas spots with tripe)... so I guess they're hoping it has a similar effect on the BBC (the main target) to start reporting on the case.

According to Robert Green, the legal spokesman for Anne and Hollie Grieg, there was a BBC Panorama (the Beebs flagship investigative reporting show) that was confirmed to be produced on the case until the producer/ commissioning editor were threatened with what sounds like a 'D-notice' by all accounts... unable to even talk about the decision to drop the programme. The producer said they would all be sacked if he commissioned the show and could say no more.
And the BBC have, as of yet, not mentioned the case anywhere. So the FACEBOOK campaign, I believe, is aimed mainly at the UK media to be brave, and defy threats of legal action, and report the case.

I truly wish them all the success, luck, strength and good fortune to get this terrible story told.

I believe the main websites dedicated to the case have had to change servers due to the legal threats and are now set up in another country, away from the UK's juristriction. So much for free speech in the UK aye?

A former policeman has admitted having a huge collection of internet child pornography while still a serving officer.

Alexander McArthur, 30, who was a constable with Grampian Police, had originally pleaded not guilty to the charge but changed his plea at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

McArthur was caught with more than 5,000 indecent images of children by police working on the nationwide Operation Ore offensive against internet child pornography.

He admitted making 148 indecent video images of children and 5,613 indecent photos of children at his home in King Street, Aberdeen, or at other places between 27 April, 2000 and 5 August, 2002.

Man fathered three with daughter

A man fathered three children with his daughter, the High Court in Glasgow has heard.

The 71-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted having incestuous sex with his daughter over a 13-year period from 1985 to 1998.

Judge Woolman said he did not have sufficient information on the effects of the offences on the daughter and the children to proceed to sentence at this stage.

Never really been into the whole Facebook thing, imho it's a family wrecker, or life wrecker. All people do it gossip about what's going on in other peoples lives, I have seen many people use it "Family & Friends" and heard nothing but total crap like "OMG I can't believe he/she said this and that" next thing the whole fing world knows about it.

Everyone I know sits there is a zombie like trance hooked on crap like the Farm game or Cafe game.

Then we reach all the sickos out there, don't get me wrong "I could easily kill a paedophile" but I could also kill some of the children's parents. I know peoples children who are on there who are under the age of 10 "Yes I have reported the accounts to Facebook" it's irresponsible and stupid for any parent to let there children on Social Networking. This parent happens to be my cousin, shut it down I say if people want to talk to friends "They got email" the only reason they really use Facebook is due to there huge ego.

Human rights watchdog suspects sexual exploitation of overseas women being wrongly treated as immigration issue.

The investigation, thought to be the first in the UK by an equalities agency, will focus primarily on Scotland after evidence emerged that Scotland may have a disproportionate number of human trafficking cases but has seen no prosecutions for trafficking.

Looks to me like that page was hacked, or a major prank to begin with.
I don't know much about this guy it's dedicated to, but it appears as if most membrs on the Wall agree the info section was changed by a hacker.

it's easy to say it was hacked - it's so much easier to delete the text!

why is that text still there if it was hacked, because facebook HAVE had this group reported to them by many and surely have the ability to remove the offensive text or suspend the page till its owner does.

all the page owner has to do is click the box on the left and press delete.

you can see the page owner even replies to posts by outraged people who have seen the text and then wonders why people are leaving the group! he could change the text and the password and report the 'hack' to facebook. why hasn't he?

surely if it was your page you would be outraged by it and take all necessary steps to remove the text and ensure it doesn't happen again.

This is probably totally unrelated but the mystery surrounding the sudden resignation of Steven Purcell, the leader of Glasgow city council, is worth a mention because not only is he suddenly being represented by a PR firm, but by our old friend Peter Watson of the law firm Levy and Mcrae, who are doing their best to legally threaten and intimidate people over trying to find out exactly why Purcell resigned so suddenly.

The council were trying to imply 'chemical dependency' as a reason but this was not accepted and it is being stressed that it is not related to drugs at all (assuming this also includes alcohol as it may illicit some sympathy were it alcohol related)

Something is a just little bit 'off' about this whole story.

A convicted sex ­offender at the centre of a paedophile ring linked to Scotland has admitted sending pictures around the UK using mobile phones.

Carl Gardner sent hundreds of pictures of children to other paedophiles.

Police said eight other suspected offenders linked to Gardner have so far been captured, including two from Scotland. Many more could follow as investigations continue.

Two Scottish police forces are among seven who are assisting Norfolk Police in the Operation Compile investigation.

The 30-year-old, from Norwich, used four mobile phones and 28 sim cards to send out the pictures.

The Herald can reveal that the ringleader had a previous conviction in 2006 for downloading child ­pornography while at a unit for ex-offenders. He printed the images at home.

He received a three-year community punishment order and a two-year conditional discharge after ­admitting making indecent images. At the time, he had a previous child porn conviction and was on the sex offenders’ register.

Yesterday at Norwich Crown Court he admitted 10 counts of making indecent images, one of possessing extreme pornography and one of possessing ­indecent images with a view to distribute.

lets give the scottish paedophile a slap on the wrist and send him on his way shall we? preferably by way of a school.

Parents' anger after class of seven-year-olds is shown 'graphic sex cartoon' at school

mother has taken her seven-year-old daughter out of school after she was made to watch a cartoon showing a couple chasing each other around a bed and having sex.

Seven and eight-year-old pupils watched the controversial Channel 4 sex education DVD, Living and Growing, at their village primary school.

so it's ok for 7 year olds to try and have sex with each other? what happens when an adult comes along and tells them they are not doing it properly and they can show them how to. is that acceptable?
