I've decided something similar a long time ago.

My plan is a bit different, small house in parvati valley (India).
Living off basically nothing, growing my own food, perhaps selling some on the market for a bit of other supplies i'll need to maintain myself.

But basically, I'm fed up with the idiotic chase of money and ego.
But more then all - I'm sick of constantly living in a nation of war, sick of the hate constantly being pumped to my vains, sick of racism at every corner, and the never ending stupification of the naiive population, sick of the endless brands of corporations taking over little honest businesses who do not want to put poison in their products, or delibirately make polluting products.

(not the mention the flurdation, aspertame, and all sorts of poisons placed in our food and water)

In western civilization, freedom is truly dead.
The beauty and wholeness of nature is forgotten... for what?? for a shiney piece of metal with some expensive name and a massive price tag.

I oppose deception - at any level.

While traveling in India I learnt just that.
I have learnt that being on a deserted cove for two monthes, with nothing but food water and a cow & dog as my friends (seriously), I was the happiest I had ever been, and never felt more alive and free.

This is truly how the human being should live his life.
As close to nature as possible - only then we will forget about all the misleading BS.

Go for it, and godspeed on your travels! Honestly I am envious of you and your decision. What a great time to find yourself and have some adventure. Don't let anyone tell you you can't do it. Just remember to be kind and respectful to those you meet. We are a pretty good bunch of people on this planet (politicians excepted), and you will be plesantly suprised at the generosity of people as a whole.

Thats not entirely true..the vehicle messes that one up....
To legally hunt in another state you need non-residence hunting permits=big$$$
Not to mention your state tags on your vehicle.

Funny how things just happen..like your thread for instance.

Myself I have been working up to this for a few years, in my experiences, unless you plan on hustling=danger...I found that by staying with the native river/creek systems was the only way I could travel in the USA for free, without getting labeled a bum or vagrant, and staay well fed and hydrated..

As far as your choice of destinations, I guess everyone needs an end place or just a destination...so yours is EU...cool with me.

If you would be enterested in a trial run or the likes here in the states...presuming thats where you now live..I will be traveling south along the western edge of the mississippi delta, from just south of KC and head towards the gulf...hitting the Mighty Mississippi at Shreveport....and ending my journey there.
I "in the past" keep a slow pace..average just over 1 mile per hour.. over the duration of the trip...some days I may not move at all...thus creating my low MPH average.
You know even in the wilds you need a day off, and if supplies are plentiful and you have fresh fish caught and ready to cook/eat..
Thats the best time to vent..take a little time off, and is when most of my critical decisions get answered.

As for me other than the travel time and/or loss of it, due to boating and such to get to EU....
I do not think it would be any different once there.
As long as you stay in the rivers/creeks and keep your health, wits, and don't let yourself grow a sasquatch beard "I'm quilty of that ATM"

My Journey start in a few weeks, and will last until late summer or early fall.
I've never traveled with a companion.....I see emmediate benefits and dangers, IE...more calories needed...
Myself I take NO food with me, and rely on my BOB, well a "cut back/reserved packing of it" its not packed for armogeddon!
I rely on fish, squirrels, and small game for food through trapping, and I have an old beater junk .22 thats just as faithful as a good dog, and it would not be a loss, if I had to loose it, to get on a boat, just throw it over board or sell it, for $10

Anyways, now I'm ranting on and on....see if this helps ya..
I was wanting to do the same thing, as far as travel goes, many years ago, and after finding how much adventure was right in my own back yard...I found no reason to completely leave the country.
So if a trial run in the states is to your liking, I'm game, as long as the start point and some minor conditions apply.
PS I'm 38 well traveled and very serious...

Sounds cool but i have a question. How do you travel along water ways without trespassing and being in danger of someone shooting you or holding you at gunpoint until cops arrive?
I live by a river and anytime someone hikes along it on our side my neighbors trip out and either stand at their property edge with rifles until the person slinks off real fast, or they yell at them to get the hell off their property, or they call the sheriff about a trespasser.

There is 15 feet of right of way on any creek/river here a person cannot and is not allowed to own a creek or river or those traveling along it.

You can camp on their property..and call the police and have them arrested...!

Anyone that has a creek run through their land knows this...its in their property deed.

Keep in mind this is for rivers/creeks not drainbage ditchs and such, from a large rain. That would be tresspassing.
