I know some say i should be shocked but im not. Its the type of world we live in and i think for as long as us humans are on this planet.

We will be watched ib one shape or form. A lot of the intelligence agencies first targets were other countries military and goverment computers. A lot more better than the systems joe public has.

The amount of money both admitted in the budgets and the money that we will never know about. That has and is spent on ELINT has given them better tools than us.

Then add to this the projects and new computer tech, that is currently underway. I bet a lot of these projects are not only kept from the people but also from some in goverment and military circles. Add to this the hidden agencies that function as closed groups unkown to all. Some info has come up that due to the red menace years ago, some intelligence groups were set up and are free from all control and oversites. ( in case the red menace infiltrated the intelligence services and goverments).

Add to this the concept of the quantum computer, some have been built and partialy tested in the private sector.

Im not worried about backdoors in any of the OS that is out there. If they want to and you fall in their line of fire, they will access your comp, mobile, ect.

Might not be legal or right, but its in the world, cant put the genie back in the bottle.

End note, if im right wasnt the backbone of the internet partialy built on top of an already in use military computer linked system.

NSA Helped With Windows 7 Development

This does not surprise me in the least, knowing this: NSA Backdoor In Windows

I downloaded Windows 7 Ultimate from a torrent site a few months ago, and installed it to a spare HD I had. All I saw was a slightly stripped down version of Vista, and it is still a memory hog. I got a bad feeling from just playing with it, I installed Avira Anti Virus and upon a reboot I started getting a great deal of Trojan alerts. Half way through updating I shut it down and haven't installed it since. A customer a few days ago asked me if I had a copy, I told him no. Talked him into Windows Vista Black Edition. I kinda like that one, really fast and a fair stock firewall. RegCleaner (registry cleaner, un-install scripts)works on it, as does Optimizer XP, a virtual memory optimizer. You can download the torrent, just look for it.

Ok this is sooooo weird.

At about 6:00 PM, I just finished wiping Windows 7 from my main laptop in favour of a linux based OS as well as wiping XP from my net book for the same linux distro. Thread was posted at 6:15...strange.

Not sure I like the NSA being involved with the development of Windows 7. Just makes it easier for them to tap into your personal stuff when your in cahoots with Bill Gates, the almighty thief.

Hey, I'm with you, stopped using Windows software over 10 years ago. I repair them, so I see a lot of Windows here, but my trusty custom built computer runs Fedora 12. Totally fast and stable, but not for the new Linux user. Ubuntu or one of it's many derivatives like Mepis and Mint is a lot better for them, works "out of the box."

One could go to linux, but then 90% of software will no longer work.

90% of what software? Are you telling me you are stuck with Windows because your Windows games won't work? Lots of game online, you don't have to buy them either, play for free. Linux has over 150 games available for most all Linux platforms. Linux is faster, more stable, (no fatal blue screen) safer, (virus free) boots much faster, My Linux PC boots in 22 seconds, how's yours?)
