Hello all, I'd like a list of recommended reading for survivalist type situations, if possible - aside from the obvious Anarchists Cookbook etc - I'd also like pointers for things such as building and farming techniques etc.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Mykel Hawke's Green Beret Survival Manual: Essential Strategies For: Shelter and Water, Food and Fire, Tools and Medicine, Navigation and Signaling, Survival Psychology and Getting Out Alive!

I own it. It tells you many interesting things, and has some good info on first aid. It tells you how to find out of things are poisonous, dangerous, etc. and it says it in plain English. It's much better than the military survival guide, which makes everything all technical, and useless in a survival situation.

Awesome, thanks for that - I'm in the process of acquiring it.

I'm also interested in any "how-to" books with regards (basic) agriculture/farming - just incase of global meltdown.

here are 3 of my core references which contain just about everything one
needs to be familiar with in a decayed society situation,
other links to other specialized resources, trades etc can be found through ponderous reading

the 3 are :
