i found information about a previous governer from mississippi and ambassator to saudi arabia whos name was mabus, its highly unlikely that he is the mabus that nostradomus speaks of but i thought it would have been a good find if i found it 10 years ago......

I wonder...the mark. Without the 'code" you cannot buy or sell says Biblical prophesy. Meaning a financial insttution will not recognize you? I think so.

I would assume the next anti-christ would have to be in charge of a large military so I can't personally see any of these rag-tag terrorists as fitting the bill. Once the oil is all gone or an alternative fuel is used in mass production these oil kingdoms will be forgotten about anyway. What are they going to sell.....sand castles?

I have no clue who the next anti-christ may be or if there will even be a next one......all I know is these primative guerilla fighters are no threat to our current lifestyle. They may score a cheap shot here or there but they are in no danger of racking up the body count of the previous two anti-christs.

Maybe the next anti-christ will not be human at all but of alien origin. Maybe "mabus" will be an anagram of a nickname given to an asteroid hurtling towards our planet. Maybe an anagram of a name given to a new virus or addictive drug. Plenty of possibilities I think trying to pick one prominent person may be going in the wrong direction on this one.

This points to an interesting candidate: Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi.

Might be on to something there....as he was released from prison in Jordan in 1999...who knows?

I noticed this too...I even mentioned it in the thread about Arafat's successor... When I heard the name, this was the first thing I thought of.

Sound out his name, in a chant, in your head...you'll realize that the rest of his first name, would easily be drowned out with only the M and the Abbas being easily heard. If you believe, as I do, that Nostrodamus saw and heard his visions, almost like a TV, then it gets pretty creepy....

Perhaps the third antichrist has just stepped up on the stage...???

St Udio - the only problem with "May be Us" is... Nostradamus was writing in French. And Renaissance French at that.

Not exactly. First of all, Saddam was never really Russia's man. He played both sides against the middle during the cold war and invaded Iran as the USA's side of an 8 year "proxy war" between US and the Russians.

Not only that, but Saddam barely got out of Iran with his hide intact. It would have taken a decades worth of time and a centuries worth of budget for 1990s Iraq to prepare for a war on NATO. Even if Iraq had not been dealt with in 1992, it would have taken them at least till 1995 to prepare for war with Turkey alone, and thats if Turkey and NATO did nothing to respond to his preparations.

I'm not a scholar, nor do I know inside out the prophecies of Nostradamus. But when I saw this Mabus whatever, I started to think.

Mabus. M'abus. M'abus in french literally translates to Me Abuse. Self harm? We all realise that we are harming ourselves by damaging the planet, and wars. So we start to recycle, etc. But maybe Nature thinks "Well, F*** this, you've had your chance...." So, nature takes its own course. It starts abusing us back. Tsunami's, earthquakes, forest fires, disease, you name it.

I don't believe that Michel was talking about the Third Antichrist in the Mabus quatrains. I believe he was referring to what we are doing to our planet, and the consequences we have to face.
