I know a lot of you guys on ATS do not believe in prophecy, and this has been done to death on ATS but this year is shaping out to be the year of wars and rumors of wars.... The scariest at the moment is the threat from North Korea to use nukes if the annual drills go ahead in the South....

The war rumor mill doesn't end there... We have saber rattling in Israel, Iran, Argentina, Venezuela, Burmese border and no doubt many others.. Those are the ones off the top of my head!! Something is definitely brewing in the world... Something big... Is it the "beginning of sorrows" though???

My thought is that prophecy has been carefully planned for years. They tell us how the end will happen, then they bring about the events to fulfill the faithfuls fantasies. It's beautiful really. Poetic even.

I agree,something is definitely up.im not really one for prophecys,i believe they can be changed with the right actions,but most,like this one,can't be ignored either.we'll have to be watching this closely and start preparing NOW just in case,or,before its too late.

Thing is though, there's alway's some War happening, and there are always earthquakes.
Then there's always people starving in this world.

And then, you alway's have some person in the middle of all that claming to be the All-mighty.
Its just trueisums really.. But then again, if it all happen in a scale that any of us couldnt comprehend, all at the same time, so all resources are stretched, then maybe it would be the end... In a sense.

Thing is, wars are always happening some time. To say its worse right now, well.....that's our perspective. Our perspective is valid, of course, but not necessarily a fulfillment of prophecy.

After all, the disciples thought Jesus would return within their lifetimes.

I believe in prophecy, and have been a Christian student of it for about 30+years. "Wars and rumours of wars" is prophecy, albeit rather general in wording, and can be applied way too often to any current events.

May I suggest that you and other prophecy students pursue more detailed and specific prophecies....
-Ezekiel 38-39... the Gog-Magog Coalition of Magog, Persia, Lybia, Gomer, Tagomarh and his bands, Cush+Phut =Russia, Iran, Lybia, Turkey, -akistan nations, East Africa. This coalition was formed last summer as the Collective Security Treaty Organization and they have a mutual defense clause.
-Syria may be Magog, even still Russia is now building a naval base in Syria.
-Israel will stand alone under attack... currently, the US is distancing itself from Israel every week.

Revelation 13 onward...the formation of a beast government based on the old Roman empire...European Union. The foundation of power as the EU faces a financial crisis will shift to Germany, not to Europe as a whole. We will see a German based EU, and due to the Conservative Catholic beliefs of the pwer brokers in Germany, it will be closely tied to Rome and the Pope....thus, the beast will be ridden by the mother of harlots...EU ridden by the Catholic Church and the organized Protestant faiths of the world. One government/one religion.

Revelation 9:13-16...the 200,000,000 man army moves with the Kings of the East across the dried up Euphrates River...China is the only nation ever to have an army of 200,000,000 men. To cross the Euphrates, they would have to come from the east...the euphrates is drying up and Iraqi farmers had to import rice for first time ever last year.

Revelation13....Mark of the Beast needed to buy, sell, trade...never before in history has this power or means of power existed...until now with RFID chips and computers. In about another 7 years, Walmart will force all of it's vendors to install and comply with RFID system requirements in its company. This will mean a nationwide and worldwide RFID compliance. The financial collapse unfolding will quicken the implementation of a cashless trade system.

We could continue...but these are all facts unfolding as described in the Bible and writings from 1900-3000 years ago. Prophecy at it's finest.

Right, this could be applied to pretty much any timeframe. I would have actually stapled this on the american revolutionary war, or perhaps the french revolution as being closer.

If this is the end times...then great, once the epic stuff is over, things will be good according to that book.

When I was younger the logical side of me wouldn't let me believe in God, but the older that I get and the more I look into all religions and the texts of these religions, I see God in more and more things in the world around me. I do not believe any one of these books contain full 100% truth, but just like reading anything else you have to take it with a grain of salt and find the small truths that it does contain. But these verses in particular do seem to strike a note these days...

The anti-christ needs to fulfill certain traits...charismatic, smooth, powerful, SUCCESSFUL for a while, master strategists and warrior, diplomatic, able to make things happen and supposedly solve world problems...Obama has done none of these things long term... no mideast treaty, his numbers are dropping by the week nationally and worldwide. Nope..no winner here.

Look to Europe....ever heard of Baron von Guttenburgh? A fast rising, successful, mover shaker on the rise and Defense Minister of Germany. If you look, you will find German troops in as many countries in mideast as US troops. Did you know Germany has been the biggest supplier of arms to Israel for the last 10years? not the US.

Babylon has fallen...well, it has to be built first in order to fall. Ever look at the EU Parliment building in Strasbourg,Fr.? Based on a painting of the Tower of Babel from 16th century. Even has unfinished top level like painting. And guess what is out front in the fountain...on the water, I saw a beast ridden by a harlot....Europa riding the bull Zeus. On the currency and in posters, portrayed as being surrounded by 12 stars. Read the scriptures and we see these images.

Again, look for specifics...do NOT stretch or make a round peg fit a square hole. The prophecies when they come to pass will be far more literal than we think...REMEMBER, John was writing down things he saw and did not understand. As the Bible says, read it with the understanding of a child.

Everyday. There are probably more than 30 wars going on right now.

All you are noticing is that you notice them instead of not knowing about them.

The only definite signal that you need to look out for is the abomination of desolation sitting in the holy place. That is when there is no looking back.

And please do not look to jerusalem to see the abomination. It will be right before your eyes in suspended animation.

So the Germans at the command of the EU will bring about the apocalypse? That's not impossible, however, it is unlikely.

Just because the EU parliament looks remotely like the tower of Babel, referring to it as so makes absolutely no sense when you use proper scope regarding the tale of Babel and what the EU parliament building is.
