This is a non-issue. The US does not need to take a side on this. The Falklands are British now and always will be. Britain is free to use the resources around the island and Argentina needs to get over it. The US knows that the Brits can handle this all by themselves and do not need our "backing" in any way. We are close allies with Britain and always will be (unless they become stupid complainers like the French).

If I were England, I'd start moving my soldiers out of Afghanistan and Iraq.

That would get Obama's attention.

We can't, we're stuck there now at least whilst the current govt. is in power. Brown has always emphasized the importance of Afghanistan and 3/4 terror plots coming from the tribal regions between Pakistan/Afghanistan.

Yeah I completely agree with your agreeing with me.

John124 is right as well. Nothing fixes unemployment like a large scale draft. Plus I will give Chavez credit for not being totally insane. He has at least enough sense to know when he would be heading for a first class ass whooping.

We can quite easily handle this by ourselves, although I'm certain our Commonwealth friends like Canada, Australia and New Zealand would not turn their bck on us quite so easily. They are true and resolute friends.

The UK have not been the aggressors here, we offered to share the development and profits from any oil found, Argentina chose to refuse this and started kicking up a #storm, unless they see reason and accept our generous offer then they may end up with nothing and more than just a bloody nose this time.

No-one wants to see any sort of military conflict and subsequent deaths, let's hope Kirchner see's sense and tell's Chavez to shut the hell up!

America's founding fathers wanted the USA to to be neutral to wars between nations. Now, America is the worlds police force.

Britain wanted our support because believe it or not Blair and the Brits carried alot of water for us and if they didn't we wouldn't have went into Iraq, pure and simple. They allowed and helped in the torture of people in the renditions in england and her territories and in other countries. They have lied and essentially enabled Bush to get away with alot because he was able to have the UK as his "stuanch supporter". Then this happens and they thought that they would get some form of over support for the 8 and now 9 years of help. Do many of you see what is happening know, it looks as if flareups across the globe over resources are poking it's head out. Countries need money and resources and they don't want to share anymore. One big reason is that once the fiat currencies like the dollar and possibly the Euro (I'm thinking now th Euro first and then the dollar) go, then all that will be left until they can figure out what else to use (which will be backed by some resource believe me) the only thing that countries will have to trade or finish financial settlements with are resources.

And if you have them hooray, and if you don't your done.
