The reason U.F.O.'s are U.F.O.'s ad infinitum is because we remove the most logical explanation and delegate it to just another possibility.

The most logical explanation for eyewitness accounts from pilots, police, the military and more, pictures mass sightings, radar reports, videos, abduction cases and trace evidence is extraterrestrial visitation or experimental government spacecraft.

See, U.F.O. doesn't mean the object has to remain unidentified forever. We can use the scientific method, logic and reason to lead us towards the truth based on the available evidence.

Let's say a pilot and his co-pilot see a craft. It's on radar and it's moving like it's controlled by intelligence as described by the pilots. There's a lot we can learn from this.

We can eliminate possibilities and then we are left with probable explanations for the event.

We can ask the pilots to explain how the craft looked and moved and have sketches drawn of the object. We can test the credibility of the pilots through co-workers and friends.

We can then ask what can move and what looks like the pilots described. We can ask what can move this way at that height and in these weather conditions.

So when you hear people say,"It could be anything." Well it couldn't be anything. We can rule things out based on the the pilots eyewitness account and the way the object moved on radar.

So we are basically left with 2 probable explanations.

1. Extraterrestrial spacecraft
2. Experimental Government spacecraft

There are a ton of U.F.O. sightings that fit one of these 2 probable explanations and these sightings have taken place since the dawn of civilization.

You also have mass sightings, abuction cases and trace evidence that support the E.T. Hypothesis as well as recent scientific discoveries.

It seems like people throw out logic and reason when it comes to things like the paranormal or ufology.

We always eliminate possibilities and then we are left with the probable explanations. We then weigh the probable explanations as to what's most likely and what's less likely.

Extraterrestrial visitation isn't a possibility, it's a probable explanation for eyewitness accounts, pictures, radar reports, mass sightings, trace evidence, abduction cases, video and more.

You still need to question U.F.O.'s on a case by case basis but the general question, what are U.F.O.'s has been answered by reason, logic and the available evidence.

In a lot of these cases there are only 2 probable explanations based on the available evidence.

Extraterrestrial or a Government experiment. I think some are Extraterrestrial and some are Governments.

Again, we don't have to play dumb when it comes to these things. We know how to eliminate possibilities and then weigh the probable explanations.

Well I highly doubt the US military or any on Earth could have hidden the craft described by this pilot. From my thread.
The Best UFO Case Ever! JAL Flight 1628 Over Alaska

"Twice the size of an American Aircraft Carrier"

Japanese Airline 1628 Encounters UFO

It was just a routine flight. Well, not exactly routine... It was a special Japan Air Lines 747 cargo flight to carry a load of French wine from Paris to Tokyo. The flight plan would carry flight 1628 from Paris to Reykjavik, Iceland, across the North Atlantic and Greenland, then across Canada to Anchorage, Alaska, and finally across the Pacific to Tokyo.

The crew consisted of veteran Captain Kenju Terauchi, co-pilot Takanori Tamefuji, and flight engineer Yoshio Tsukuba.

On November 16, 1986, laden with wine, JAL1628 took off from Paris and flew the first leg of the trip, to Reykjavik. The next day, they continued, flying over Greenland and then across northern Canada without event.

Just after they crossed into Alaska, at 5:09 PM local time, Anchorage Air Traffic Control contacted them on the radio to report initial radar contact. The Anchorage flight controller asked them to turn 15 degrees to the left and head for a point known as Talkeetna on a heading of 215 degrees. They were at 35,000 feet and traveling at a ground speed of about 600 mph.

At about 5:11 PM local time, Captain Terauchi noticed the lights of some sort of aircraft about 2000 feet below and 30 degrees to the left front of them. He decided that the aircraft was probably an American jet fighter from nearby Eielson or Elmendorf Air Force Bases patrolling Alaskan airspace, so he ignored them at first. However, after a few minutes, he noticed that the lights were keeping pace with his own aircraft, which would be an unusual thing for patrolling jets to do....

Well written thread..but isnt this abit old news? Aliens were proven as a fact a long time ago. We even know what species they are. You all write as we did for ALONG time ago.

Yes we do know about E.T. Visitation. You may not accept the evidence and that's your choice but others can accept the evidence and come to a different conclusion. Over the years we have accumulated a lot of evidence.

Als, the right explanation?

If we waited to find the right explanation we would still be living in caves.

We always start with building theories and finding the probable explanations.

The biggest difference is that the police officer doesn't say it was, for example, an aeroplane that hit the poor lady, even if nobody has a good description of what the object was like, there are some explanations that are more likely to be correct than others.

In the same way, if you find something unexpected inside your house, what do you think first, that it was some neighbour that entered your house to leave it there or that was someone that lives there?

We don't know anything about ET visitation so how can it be a probable explanation?

Now even though I've nabbed your avatar for my Facebook profile, the quote above is a tad dodgy, considering the thousands of abduction reports, the hundreds of thousands of objects in the sky reports, etc. The fact a lot of sightings occur in the sky, objects seemingly falling closer to earth, doing their stuff and then leaving again via space generally says "extra-terrestrial".

A lot of people have a good clue on ET visitation. And I don't think it's safe to say "we don't have hard evidence". No group of people necessarily do, but individuals certainly do - and that could amount to millions of people.

It's funny how people either see small lights or gigantic structures. It's funny to think we can barely make a decent, fast, quiet aeroplane yet some people seem convinced it could be our own governments building and flying 400 feet football pitches.

You think if that was the case they would intergrate some of these things into warfare? It's taken long enough for them to create decent drones.

I'm happy with the two suggestions though, but I'd add a third - and that is natural phenomena. Meaning, these craft could be under control by intelligent life forms but on the other hand they could be entities in themselves. How do we know space and time doesn't create these things naturally? We don't

Copyright violation!! You're on the list buddy ET visitation isn't a scientific fact, it might be one day but not right now. We can guess and speculate sure. What about atmospheric phenomena? We still haven't come up with an explanation for ball lightning and who knows what other natural phenomena is out there.

I don't know whether to block you or just ignore you as your arrogance and egotistical decorum seems to contaminate even valid and interesting threads these days and not just the ones that deserve it. Little tip, knock off the pathetic act you try and put on as you traverse the threads in this forum while leaving your little comments here and there. It's really not necessary as we all aren't in high school jockeying for alpha male status.

Why discount the stories of thousands of abductees? Contrary to popular belief talking about aliens abducting you doesn't make you rich or popular, quite the opposite.

To me these crafts are obviously intelligently controlled, to me it doesn't matter if they're ET's or from another dimension, an intelligent humanoid is a big deal, and still quite "alien" even if they're not technically from another planet.

Yes, ET's are very probable from a scientific perspective, there really is no other reasonable explanation that can cover all the bases, including abductions and cattle mutilations.

This quote by John Mack has stuck with me since reading it:

The abduction phenomenon is of considerable clinical and scientific interest. No convincing explanation of the experiences abductees report is currently evident. We may learn from further research a great deal about the nature of the human psyche and expand our notions of psychological and physical reality. The phenomenon may deliver to us a kind of fourth blow to our collective egoism, following those of Copernicus, Darwin and Freud. For we may be led to realize that not only are we not physically at the center of the universe, transcending other life forms and rational masters of our psyches-we are not even the preeminent or dominant intelligence in the cosmos, in control of our psychological and physical existences. It appears that we can be "invaded" or taken over, if not literally by other creatures, then by some other form of being or consciousness that seems able to do with us what it will.

There's plenty of evidence to support extraterrestrial visitation.

If your not just stories, it's direct evidence and we can investigate the credibility of the witness like we have in some of these cases.

DIRECT EVIDENCE

Evidence that stands on its own to prove an alleged fact, such as testimony of a witness who says she saw a defendant pointing a gun at a victim during a robbery. Direct proof of a fact, such as testimony by a witness about what that witness personally saw or heard or did.

www.lectlaw.com...

Science hasn't concluded that parallel universes or extra dimensions exist but scientist accept these things based on the evidence.

We draw conclusions all the time based on the available evidence.

We have direct, circumstantial and scientific evidence that we can weigh to reach a conclusion as to what's most likely and what's less likely.

1961 Betty and Barney Hill Abduction
Called the "flagship case" of alien abduction. A husband and wife (Betty and Barney Hill) taking a short vacation see a bright object in the evening. They are stopped on the road by aliens, and become part of an abduction case for the ages. Regressive hypnosis plays a major role in unveiling a dark secret... a secret of alien abduction, and medical experimentation.

1967 The Betty Andreasson Abduction

In South Ashburnham, Massachusetts on the night of January 25 1967, one of the most celebrated cases of UFO abduction began. Betty Andreasson was working in her kitchen while her seven children, mother, and father were in the living room... suddenly a bright light invades the house. From the yard, alien creatures are seen hopping toward the house! One of the strangest abduction cases.

1967 Abduction of Herbert Schirmer

As Patrolman Schirmer passed through the intersection of Highway 6 with Highway 63 on the outskirts of Ashland, he saw what appeared to be red lights on a large truck stopped a short way down Highway 63. He decided to turn around and check it out. He drove the short distance down 63 and stopped with his headlights shining on the object. According to Schirmer, the object was definitely not a truck. The red lights that he had seen were blinking through the oval portholes of a metallic, oval-shaped object.

1969 The Buff Ledge Camp Abduction

Only seven and a half years after the Betty and Barney Hill story, the New England states would again host an alien abduction. Buff Ledge in Vermont would be the site of a visitation by four UFOs which would make revolutionary aerial maneuvers, Two counselors would suffer missing time, and seek professional help.

1973 Pascagoula, Mississippi Abduction (Parker, Hickson)

Fifteen different people see a large, silver UFO fly over a housing project in St. Tammany Parish, New Orleans, Louisiana. Only a scant 24 hours later, Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson would unwillingly take a journey into the unknown... strange creatures with claw-like hands abduct them. J. Allen Hynek investigates.

1975 The Abduction of Sergeant Charles L. Moody

Alamogorde, New Mexico would be the location of a UFO encounter involving Air Force Sergeant Charles L. Moody on August 13, 1975. Moody was in the desert observing a meteor shower at ab 1:15 A.M. when he saw a glowing, metallic, disk-shaped object falling toward the ground about 300 feet away.

1975 The Travis Walton Abduction

As seven loggers began their journey home, they see a "luminous object, shaped like a flattened disc." All of the men agreed that Travis Walton, captivated by the sight, left the truck to get a closer look. A blue beam hits him, throwing him to the ground. He would vanish for five days, and soon begin telling his story of the inside of an extraterrestrial spacecraft.

1976 The Stanford, Kentucky Abductions

While America was still buzzing over the Travis Walton abduction, three women are abducted near Stanford, Kentucky. Heading for Hustonville on Highway 78, they suddenly see a "bright, red" object in the clear, night sky, turning a nice evening into a night of terror. Read about this in depth investigation here.

1976 The Allagash Abductions

The Allagash Waterway incident would involve multiple witnesses. Four artists were enjoying a canoeing trip on the Allagash Waterway when their pleasant evening was turned into a nightmare... A nightmare of missing time and alien abduction. At first only missing time, and then forgetfulness. Finally a connection is made, and little by the details become known in this compelling case of alien abduction.

1976 The Dechmont Forest Abduction

Robert Taylor was sixty-one-years-old at the time that he had the most unusual encounter of his life. He had worked as a forester all of his adult life in the Dechmont woods located in Livingston, West Lothian, Scotland. On the morning of Friday, November 9, 1979, he and his red setter rounded a corner on a forest trail and saw an unbelievable sight, a UFO! The object appeared to be hovering just above the forest floor. It made no sound, and seemed to be motionless.

1985 The Whitley Strieber Abduction

Well known writer Whitley Strieber would be abducted by aliens while in his isolated cabin in upstate New York over the Christmas season of 1985. He encountered 4 types of alien beings, which subjected him to medical tests.

1987 The Ilkley Moor Alien

A policeman named Philip Spencer claims to have taken a picture of an alien being. If this is true, it is one of only a few in existence. The scary Ilkley Moor in Yorkshire, England would hold the secret of the strange creature encountered one early morning. Godfrey was frightened, but ran after the creature, taking one photograph. See it here. Through hypnosis, he would recall an odd flying object, and an alien abduction.

1988 Father & Son Abducted

John Salter Jr. and his son are abducted by benevolent aliens. One of the few cases in which alien abduction turned out to be a good thing. Medical experimentation has a happy ending, with improved health for both abductees.

1989 Linda Cortile-Napolitano Abduction

An extremely compelling case of alien abduction is that of Linda Napolitano. Napolitano has claimed that she was abducted by the so-called "greys," who floated her from a closed bedroom window into a hovering UFO. As time went by, several different eye witnesses came forward to substantiate her claims... Several bystanders, including a well known politician, actually see the incident.

1993 The Kelly Cahill Abduction

In August 1993, 27-year-old Kelly Cahill, her husband, and three children were driving home after a visit to a friend's house. Their routine journey would soon become a harrowing trip into an unknown world of strange beings that occupied space but were void of color as we know it. The Dandenong foothills, near Victoria, Australia would be forever linked to one of the strangest creatures in Ufological archives.

1997 Abduction in Wales

One of the weirdest cases reported to the Welsh Federation of Independent Ufologists is the multiple sighting of UFOs on the same night - except one family got too close for comfort and were apparently abducted. The strange and disturbing events began to unfold when for several nights an elderly man living in Little Orme, Conwy, was troubled by what he called "frightening" beams of light over the Great Orme.

ufos.about.com...

There's plenty of evidence to weigh. It makes no sense for people to act like there's no evidence. If you have come to a different conclusion, then that's your choice but people are coming to these conclusions based on evidence.
