Woman targeted by Philly TSA for wearing a Cowboys jersey, page 1

Here's another story of TSA workers power tripping on some poor traveler just because they can. In this case, a Philly TSA worker pulls a woman out of line for a pat down supposedly because she was wearing a Cowboys jersey.

I'd like to thank the men and women of the TSA for their continued vigilance in protecting our country.

A Cowboys fan is convinced she was unfairly targeted by airport security screeners at Philadelphia International Airport because of the Jason Witten jersey she was wearing.

Alyson Galen tells CBS in 3 in Dallas that she was pulled out of a security line last month and patted down before even getting to a metal detector. A screener approached her after she was cleared.

"He walked up to me and said 'how's it feel to be a Cowboys fan in Philadelphia?' . . . I did tell him 'wow,'" Galen said.

I know that personally I get suspicious when I see these soulless bandwagon jumpers walking around Philadelphia... Of course, I usually just ask them what part of Dallas they're from. To this day I've never gotten an answer.

Seriously though, this woman wants an explanation and an apology from TSA officials... I don't know if she follows the news very much, but they're called "random screenings" for a reason. They can stop anyone at any time regardless of whether they're suspicious or not.

Now I hate Cowboys fans just as much as any other Philly dweller (even though I'm a die-hard Steelers fan) but I think, maybe, just maybe this guy may have been out of line.

Although I still have trouble summoning up much sympathy for a stinkin Cowboys fan.

Yep, those guys are the pride of Philadelphia. They also made a disabled boy remove his leg braces before getting on a plane.

WOW just a joke...and lets not forget how heated the NFC East can get...This is the kind of s*** that makes me sick.Im so glade i dont fly,stay to the roads it may take longer but at least theres no TSA

All these stories seem to be coming out of Philly.

Am I only hearing about the Philly stories because they're local and I'm missing stories from other areas or is this really something that's just going on primarily here in Philly?

Maybe it's just the typical Philly attitude showing through and rubbing people wrong.

Are there similar stories out there from other cities about TSA abuse?

Shoulda figured she was a bandwagon jumper fan. They're all such tools.

My family originates from Pittsburgh and we only moved here when I was 10. The Steelers are just in my blood, I couldn't even bring myself to wear any Eagles gear, it would just feel so dirty.
