Just thought I'd post this, I remember reading some thread a while ago predicting a big California earthquake in the coming weeks. Earthquakes are normal in California, but this many in 5 minutes? That's a little wild.

I think the prediction was for the 23rd of Feb 2010

although the author prefered not to call it a prediction as some evidence was based on geomorphology or something like that.

Yep, that's the date I read... I didn't want to post some wrong date if I remembered wrong though.

California has been rumbling a lot more lately.

I saw that earlier. That's alot of small quakes in a short time. California has been busy the last couple of weeks, especially around the greater L.A. area. Hopefully all these small ones are letting off pressure so maybe the big one won't happen? I guess we'll see.

Actually, it's not. California gets many quakes every single day. Currently, there are 854 earthquakes in the California area, just in the past week:

earthquake.usgs.gov...

That's roughly 122 earthquakes every day. Most aren't felt

Any time you want to check out where earthquakes are happening anywhere in the world, the USGS website is the best place to view:

Hmmm,
multiple earthquakes in a short period of time.
I'd bet the Kenyan would say it's Bush's Fault

Get it?
Kenyan?
Earthquake (fault line)?
Bush's Fault?
