media player keeps popping up when I;m on the board

Hey guys,

First... I know nothing about computer science...

Ok... So, for the last three days or so, whenever i'm on the ATS board windows media player jumps up onto my screen and acts like it's trying to download a video. Initially I just closed it everytime (assuming that it was just an unusual ad)... but now I'm simply confused by it. No video ever comes up (and I just realized that I have sound off when I'm on the net, but I doubt that a sound message is involved).

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem...

I havent had that problem.

But I did have a problem with some spyware installing itself on my computer from some ad here on ATS.

it's doing it right now, btw.

media player just lists it as ' mms:/// ' and that's it.

It acts like it's downloading something but no movie or sound file ever comes up.

When I leave ATS this stops... I can be ANYWHERE else on the net and I will not get this. When I come back to ATS it comes up immediately.

If it helps to know, I have a measly, old-school phone connection (56). Maybe... if I just had a high speed connection... it would become apparent that someone is sending me the secret of life?
