Undo, although I cannot claim that I existed at the time to personally confirm or deny the character of Horus, all available information indicate that the topic is indeed Egyptian mythology. But for the sake of this topic, the important matter is not if Horus was mythical or not, but rather the credibility of the character to which the debate is about. To determine if the Jesus character was a homosexual, I feel it is best to research the earliest original character of which Jesus is a copy of. The best way to find answers is to get to the root of everything. The real question then should be not if Jesus is a homosexual, but was Horus one.

Christian religions downplayed any associations between Jesus and women because the church leaders of that time thought that Jesus's cred or association with divinity would be diminished if it was revealed he had associations with women. He was a man of God, not a man of the women, the church would decide, so they washed the church of women and rebranded Jesus in their own image, in their own design.

This is the reason why women aren't allowed to be priests or that Catholic priests aren't allowed to be married. Jesus wasn't gay, he was probably married and according to rumor, had at least one child, but the church wanted Jesus to be divine, viriginal, untouched.

The church was very different when Jesus was alive, it all changed after he died.

Jesus was certainly not gay. He was married to Mary Magdalene, had children, survived the crucifixion, and lived into his 40s or later.

I do not have any problem with anyones sexuality, I don't care if people are gay, lesbian, strict onanists, heterosexual, bisexual, non-sexual, masochistic, bestial, or any other perversion you can think of that is totally consensual..

I just do NOT want them to tell me about it..advertise it...or be in my face about it. It is a personal private thing. The gays would have a LOT fewer problems with everyone if they would just shut up and live their private life like everyone else does and quit with the "I'm gay and I want the world to know it".

Quote of the year! "Then they (aliens) wouldn't be happy that their experiment went wrong and started being gay" LMAO!

Thank you so much for making me literally laugh out loud for 5 minutes.

He seems to be basing his opinion on the fact that Jesus was compassionate. Elton John believes that only gay men can be compassionate.

Well, Sir John, the fact is that compassion is not a trait reserved solely for gay men, and that a lot of gay men are not compassionate at all. Many of them are haters.

Michelangelo was gay. Alexander the

The sexual apparatus placed on the outside of your body does not always correspond or match up to the inner nature you display.
This is no reason to hate somebody, dislike or disagree with them.

You should better use energy hating, disliking and disagreeing with people who are evil if you ever hope to make a dent in the troubles of this world.

You would stand there and beg for these gay folks to fight along side you if the planet was threatened by aliens from outer space. Well your planet is threatened by beasts living right here among us. Predators, abusers, traffickers -
Extremely evil people are flying under the radar while many of us busy ourselves trying to figure out whose sexual organs match up with their sexual inclinations!!!

Get the heck out of peoples pants... and look into their hearts.

This is where you will find the truth. This is how you should decide and arrive at the true value of every human soul.

Elton John:
He adds: "Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don't know what makes people so cruel.

What was was Elton John reading? couldn't be the Bible.

Did he miss the part of the Bible where Jesus killed 23,000 men in one day in 1st Corinthians?

Jesus isn't gay, Elton John is just a perverted sicko homosexual.

Christ said he wasn't coming to bring peace.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 13

If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.

And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.

If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient,
love is kind.
It is not jealous,
is not pompous,
it is not inflated,
it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests,
it is not quick-tempered,
it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.

It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing.

For we know partially and we prophesy partially,
but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.

When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child,
reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things.
At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face.
At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.

So faith, hope, love remain, these three;

but the greatest of these is love

Well if Elton thinks Jesus was a gay lord, I’d say its a good possibility Jesus was a gay lord.

I mean the guys who had him crucified really didn’t like him maybe it was the tipping point ".... and he's GAY!"

But that’s right Jesus was for love, forgiveness and understanding so i guess he would willingly except gay people. It makes sense in Spock logic.

I don’t understand the religious view on gayness. I don’t want to. Its sad and pathetic, and does no good to faith as a whole.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for saying the most stooooopid thing I've read all day. What do gays offer the world? Well, let's see. We are your artists, your musicians, your composers, your poets, your playwrites, your novelists. We are your archetects, your engineers, your healers, your visionaries. We create your culture. It is our gift to you. We were your shamans and wise men but then you started dragging us through the streets by our entrails. We are your brothers, your sisters, your parents, your neighbors, your teachers, your students, your friends. We are all this and what we don't make babies? We're a little too busy for that. My question to you is this: What do you offer the world? Thanks for playing.

you just took my sentence and changed it around to suit what you were going to say which is more 'stooopid'. what i said was "WHAT DOES BEING GAY OFFER THE WORLD?" and not "WHAT DO GAYS OFFER THE WORLD"...

its totally different

maybe you should learn to read first before writing long meaningless comments... its not about free will, being gay is completely useless and i just dont see the point in wasting you're time doing it...

i do not dislike gays but i just dont see the point, i mean where does it take you? does it benefit anyone in anyway? (off topic but...)does it save a starving child?

and to answer you're question, i helped a friend see the way and thats what i've been doing every good opportunity i get. i told him that he would make a great father and would have beautiful and healthy children...

If JeZeus was gay that is nothing to be ashamed of but it appears he had a liking for boys. According to Mark 14:51-52 there was a young naked man with Jesus at the time of his arrest.

Mark 14:51-52

51) and a certain young man was following him, having put a linen cloth about [his] naked body, and the young men lay hold on him,

52) and he, having left the linen cloth, did flee from them naked.

Now why would a naked young man be following JeZeus, at night?

Since we have no clear record of that Jesus person, we don't know if he even existed. Pretty sure there was someone called Jesus at some point though, it's a common name. And yeah, he might have been gay...or not. Who cares?

Let's discuss if Santa was gay, now that's an interesting subject

so, according to Elton John, only gay people can be compassionate and caring?

Talk about hypocrisy.

LOL 11 pages of non-conspiracy. It certainly brought out the Westboro Baptist and other Pharisee like. So Elton thinks Jesus was what? Why does someone's opinion of Jesus matter to you? He gave Jesus favorable remarks regardless. I've certainly heard much worse like he was the Anti-Christ.

Hi Pumpkin--

There was no modern word that would equate to what we to-day call 'gay/homosexual' in the convoluted textual mess called the Old Testament. Certainly 'fornication' has nothing to do with gay-ness (specifically) in any old testament texts

There are in fact several technical words in the Hebrew which have to do with homosexual cult rituals (e.g. the term for 'confusion' to refer to what is called transvestitism / cross dressing ('a male may not wear a woman's robes, neither shall a female put on the garments of a male, it is confusion' as it says in 'Leveticus')

But outside the reference to 1 Samuel 20:30 where Saul the King berates his nancy boy Jonathan for being sissified, these terms generally have nothing to do with gay male-on-male 'homosexual-love' acts that we know about today - but in the ancient middle east, were almost always in some way connected with homosexual ritual-temple-cultic preactices - especially to the non Yahwistic (non-YHWH) 'Canaanite' sacred male prostitutes in the temples 'on the high places' who ritually-dressed as women--and who were (significantly !) called 'holy ones' (Heb. 'qedeshim' derived from the Hebrew root Q-D-SH meaning 'holy' or 'set apart', cf: the Babylonian technical term 'Qedeshu' - male temple sexually-passive-prostitute ) for which 'king' Solomon (Jedediah) built temples specifically for the spring fertility rituals of the religions of his 'foreign' (translated 'strange' !) wives.

Apparently the writers of I-II Kings thought that Solomon himself worshipped a lot of gods besides YHWH, in what is known as MONOLATRY (where YHWH is the top of a pantheon of gods and goddesses); the idea of the ONE GOD ONLY ('hear o Yisro'el, YHWH is our clan-god, YHWH alone !') is a late adopted slogan that came after the Babylonian Exile (587 BCE to 531 BCE) where the non-Yahwistic gods and goddesses were outlawed by the 4 priestly families that returned from Babylon - who were the most violent-racist-sexist-xenophobic-rightwing monotheistic extremist priests of all the pre Exilic YHWH priestly groups (many priests before the Exile offered sacrifices in the various temples to YHWH on one day and Chemosh or Marduk or Baal the next, depending on who was paying) that were taken into Exile (24 priestly families left in 587, only 4 came back - and the ones that did come back to 'build the 2nd Temple' i.e. the circle of Ezra the Scribe, were the most extremist YHWH only parties).

BEFORE the Exile (i.e before 587 BCE) we see lots of evidence that the Israelites & Judaeans worshipped not only YHWH but placed him alongside other Canaanite clan gods (e.g. 'This Road is Sacred to YHWH and his Wife Asherah and his son Ba'al') where you see little YHWH Only language. See: I Kings 11:4-12.

One of the things that David's son Jedediah-Solomon did was to build 'shrines for the Qodeshim' which is sometimes mis-translated 'sodomites' or 'dogs' (Deut. 23:18) as a way to get around the fact that they were sacred male prostitutes who took the woman's sexual position on the fertility altars of the various goddesses (e.g. Asherah, or Astarte, Isis etal.) but the would be 'ritually' dressed as women.

This is quite different from what we today call 'cross-dressing' / transvestitism (the majority of 'transvestites' in the world are actuall hetero-sexual and not gay, and who simply get a sexual satisfaction from the look smell and feel of female clothing next to their own skin) and today few gay men would consider themselves qedeshim ('ritually sacred whores') outside of a few bars in San Francisco (who might argue with me about that one !)

Now tell me, Pumpkin, honestly: did you know before you read this that sacred male homosexual prostitution even existed in pre-Exilic Eretz Yisro'el? Or did you think that prohibitions against 'males lying with males as with women' was secular and not some form of Cannanite non-Yahweh 'ritual abomination' (i.e. Heb. Toq'ebah' = detestible ritual object or act)?

Or is this all news to you ? Maybe a paleo-Hebrew class would help you out a little in that regard?

Just a thought !
