CIA Releases New Details on Cold War Mission

www.aolnews.com

In 1974, far out in the Pacific, a U.S. ship pretending to be a deep-sea mining vessel fished a sunken Soviet nuclear-armed submarine out of the ocean depths, took what it could of the wreck and made off to Hawaii with its purloined prize.

Now, Washington is owning up to Project Azorian, a brazen mission from the days of high-stakes - and high-seas - Cold War rivalry.

And who the hell cares...CIA discloses records and doesn't even release the whole thing. We need some real releasing of records. We want to know what was recovered. We want to know the truth! I wonder if Russia will release the rest of the story...now that would be a slap in the face. When will they ever tell us about the second shooter on the grassy knoll?

Was this the same Soviet nuclear submarine that was sent to the Hawaii coast with orders to lock on and prepare to fire? Also the same submarine that had a mysterious Spetsnaz unit loaded onto it at the last moment which made the regular crew (who all died by the way) very nervous?
