Whoever thinks that Democracy and Freedom Of Speech exists in the EU is guilty of naivety to the extreme.
The EU is the most beaurocratic, corrupt body in existence and will do anything to drive through it's agenda of eliminating national identity in it's drive towards a NWO.

The UK agreed to join a Common Trade Organisation.
Every Prime Minister since and The Queen have been guilty of Treason by releinquishing a little bit of British sovereignty at a time.
We did not agree to the imposition of European rule and we should demand a referendum on The Lisbon Treaty, using every possible measure necessary to ensure it happens.

This should be the sinlge, biggest issue at this years General Election.

Whilst I have an amount of respect for Nigel Farage I suspect both he and UKIP are one trick ponies and have little substance apart from their anti-EU stance and are merely another Tory party.
However, maybe all that needs to be put aside for the greater good of getting us out of the abomination that is the EU.

I believe there is a time limit that each speaker is allowed to speak, all the applauding at the beginning actually at into his time and you actually hear him ask for more in a quiet manner.

at around the 53 second mark you see him point to his watch and ask for the time.
If they don't have a time limit they would talk all night

He wasn't scilenced because of what he was saying, just the time limit was up.

I am sure I read somewhere that UKIP is funded by the British conservative party, to take 'protest' votes away from other parties.

Farage is alway excellent when he speaks at the Eu and always upsets the 'rabble' as the truth is something they shudder to hear in the Eu!

I always vote for UKIP.

I don't think they will ever run the UK, more is the pity but cannot bring myself to vote for the corrupt labour, conservative, lib trinity.

It is amusing to see the reaction of Lady whatever her name is and Barosso 'laughing' or pretending to laugh and mock Mr Farage, but you could see the FEAR behind their eyes and I wonder who their puppet masters are and what punishment will be inflicted on them personally for permitting Farage to speak the truth.

Keep going Mr Farage! You're doing a great job!

but you see my friends nothing will change, and the elite plan will continue, however these politicians are helping more people realise whats really going on... because very soon, and i say soon because this spring or summer, israel will start a war in the middle east... its also definite that the war will escalate into a world war, the war wont be very long, it will most likely end before 2013, life for every human would change, some will have a better life while others will get it bad... The EU, EMU and now the Lisbon Treaty is an epic fail, no one wants the EU anymore, not the people anyhow. It is a gigantic greedy bureaucracy that serves no other purpose than to sustain its own existence, it has become an organism that is alive and it wants more.

Greece failed, Iceland will be accepted in 2012, they are bankrupt, looming on the horizon are the gigantic problems in the Baltic states and also some eastern European countries that required bailouts by the IMF around 2008. It is a farce and it will most probably fall to pieces within the next decade, a very, very expensive experiment.

Most likely, he was "muted" because he ran out of the time he was allotted to speak. If you've ever been to any type of legislative meeting (city council meeting, congress, etc.), you know that anyone who speaks is only allowed a set time in which they must cram in everything they want to say. Chances are he just ran over his time.

That being said, you can clearly see the widespread disapproval of Mr. Farage's comments by the rest of the assembly and the sheer refusal to take anything he has to say with more of a grain of salt. In my opinion, it's childish and infantile for ANY elected assembly to boo, or otherwise berate, the opinions of a fellow elected official. They're opinion is just as valid as anyone else's in that room, and chastising him (regardless of the outlandishness of his/her claims) is a glaring sign of disrespect.

Shame on the EU Parliament.

You are absolutely correct... He was silenced because he kept going after his time slot was up. They tried to get him to stop talking by saying 'Thank you MR. President" repeatedly but he kept talking and cutting into other peoples time so they cut his mic.

UKIP have some good ideas. The big problem is, as above that they are mostly 'soft' ex-BNP people and disillusioned Tories. Same old same old. A few good ideas wont win an election - especially when your party is riven by infighting.

To the people saying join them - please do - the more of us that get involved in politics the better. I'm a member of another political party (I wont say which as i value my anonymity) and I'm glad I've got involved. I get to fight racist scumbags, money grubbers, the corporatocracy, religious fanatics, and all of the other demographs i despise. It's better to do, than not.
