Human bones could reveal truth of Japan's 'Unit 731' experiments

www.telegraph.co. uk

The Imperial Japanese Army's notorious medical research team carried out secret human experiments regarded as some of the worst war crimes in history.
Its scientists subjected more than 10,000 people per year to grotesque Josef Mengele-style torture in the name of science, including captured Russian soldiers and downed American aircrews.
The experiments included hanging people upside down until they choked, burying them alive, injecting air into their veins and placing them in high-pressure chambers.

Wow, I'd known that Japan did do some of this testing but to read the story is gruesome.

That war was hell on Earth in the truest sense - didn't really learn though did we?

Oh well, as with the Nazis and all other human experimentation there was data, procedures and medicine that benefits the rest of humanity - it would not be unreasonable to say that every person who reads this has been helped...

Makes you feel weird right?

What makes me feel weird is that people think that human experimentation has stopped. It may not be as overt as drilling holes in skulls like this report is discussing but humans are still being used as guinea pigs. Medical advancements aren't coming out of thin air.

i first about this when i seen the film "men behind the son", its a VERY VERY very (very) graphic film which depicts in as realistic detail as possible the experiments that happened.

needless to say its not a film i picked to watch myself lol

it led me to read more about it, ive always found it absolutely crazy that most people dont know about it , its the forgotton hollcaust.

The information was NOT released into the public domain - it became the privately owned Intellectual Property of various chemical, pharmaceutical and medical companies to use as they saw fit.

Did that help us? ...I don't think so.

Gruesome as it all was, I think it would have been much, MUCH better to allow public access to the knowledge - more beneficial in every way.

And here is the conspiracy:

After negotiating the Japanese Surrender, the US had gained all the results of the highly advanced Japanese Biological Weapons Project.

"From Sanders's first investigation in the autumn of 1945, MacArthur acceded to granting immunity to members of Unit 731 in exchange for data of research on biological warfare. He also inculcated on Sanders to keep silence on "human experiments.""

So the US government actually profited from this. Quite sick.

Sadly, I think (or perhaps fear) we are being quite naive if we think that only the Axis forces conducted this grotesque experimentation.

I fear that as time passes, we will discover that the Allies have their own "Mengele" and Unit 731 histories to conceal. And since we know of the reckless behavior of the military-industrial-complex during the 50's, 60's, and 70's we can be fairly certain that they are probably still 'getting away with it.'

The worst part of it is that the corporations are the muscle behind the secrecy... those 'corporate' citizens sure proved to be the 'salvation' of the world, huh?

The truth of the savagery concerning the Pacific War in WW2 is very very startling to say the least.

Both President Bush (first) and President Kennedy were almost killed in the Pacific Theatre.

Yes, Unit 731 was barbarity on a grand-scale, and sadly, the Allies let the researchers off the hook to strengthen their military capabilities for the Cold War to come.

Many of the scientists involved in Unit 731 went on to prominent careers in post-war politics, academia, business, and medicine. Some were arrested by Soviet forces and tried at the Khabarovsk War Crime Trials; others surrendered to the American Forces.

On 6 May 1947, Douglas MacArthur, as Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, wrote to Washington that "additional data, possibly some statements from Ishii probably can be obtained by informing Japanese involved that information will be retained in intelligence channels and will not be employed as 'War Crimes' evidence."[7] The deal was concluded in 1948.

Crazy stuff went on in the hinter lands of Harbin during the war. Most likely the developments found by their research led to the attacks on China involving biological weapons.

For example, in 1940, the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service bombed Ningbo with fleas carrying the bubonic plague.[3] During the Khabarovsk War Crime Trials the accused, such as Major General Kiyashi Kawashima, testified that, in 1941, some 40 members of Unit 731 air-dropped plague-contaminated fleas on Changde. These operations caused epidemic plague outbreaks.

en.wikipedia.org...-2

Apparently, many of the scientist went on to prominent careers. Especially the head scientist of the research team and the most sadistic of them all, Shiro Ishi and his sucessor, Dr. Masaji Kitano.

. . . Dr Shiro Ishii died at home of throat cancer aged 67 after a prosperous and untroubled life . . .

. . .The man who succeeded Ishii as commander of Unit 731, Dr Masaji Kitano, became head of Green Cross, once Japan's largest pharmaceutical company.

So, once again another dirty deal by the Allies after WWII. These murderers were allowed to get a way with their crimes and lead normal lives. With tacit approval by the US government by their sequestering of crucial evidence to have these men convicted of war crimes. This was no different than the infamous "Operation Paper Clip," led by the OSS after WWII, and how they disobeyed a direct order from the President.

. . . the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) program used to recruit the scientists of Nazi Germany for employment by the United States in the aftermath of World War II (1939–45). It was executed by the Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency (JIOA), and in the context of the burgeoning Soviet–American Cold War (1945–91) one purpose of Operation Paperclip was to deny German scientific knowledge and expertise to the USSR.

. . . To circumvent President Truman’s anti-Nazi order, and the Allied Potsdam and Yalta agreements, the JIOA worked independently to create false employment and political biographies for the scientists. The JIOA also expunged from the public record the scientists' Nazi Party memberships and régime affiliations. Once “bleached” of their Nazism, the US Government granted the scientists security clearance to work in the United States. Paperclip, the project’s operational name, derived from the paperclips used to attach the scientists’ new political personæ to their “US Government Scientist” JIOA personnel files.

en.wikipedia.org...

Then another deal with the devil by the US after WWII would be their support of the "Gehlen Organization," an intelligence organization used to spy on the Soviet Union from West Germany. Many of the individuals had some sinister backgrounds during the war years. Check the link below to see some of the seedy characters and their backgrounds who worked on behalf of the Central Intelligence Agency.

The so-called Gehlen Organization or ‘Org’ was founded under the control of the United States Army 1n 1948, complete control passing to the CIA in 1948.

A very significant number of the German nationals belonging to the Gehlen Organization have been discovered to have belonged to either the Gestapo or the RSHA, the Reichssicheitshauptamt. This was the blanket organization for all German State and Party intelligence and counterintelligence agencies.

www.tbrnews.org...

So, Unit 731 was a horror show and what was even more horrific was the fact that the Allies turned a blind-eye to the men involved in such heinous experiments for the sake of national defense. It is truly troubling to read about all the backroom deals made with murderers and war criminals after the war years, and in the name of the American people.
