Indeed, a healthy dose of Islam is often mixed into the lyrics. And Ahmad doesn't hesitate to give his own views on where his religion should be headed in the
twenty-first century. “If you look at Islamic history, the Prophet Muhammad lived a really tolerant life,” he explained at a screening of the documentary last winter.
“He married a woman who was fifteen years older and a divorcée. He imbibed information from Christianity, from Judaism. He was a very open man.”

The one thing that has stood out in all the discussions is moral responsibility. You have to look beyond politics and economics
and think about moral responsibility. Out of the six billion people on this planet, half live on less than two dollars a day, and if we don’t take care of them, future generations will ask: “Why didn’t you act while you had the time?”So if we choose to ask ourselves what our moral responsibility is and answer that question, this would be a successful forum.

"All eyes will see him," will be fulfilled, in the only way in which it can be fulfilled. We will see his face, but he will not speak.
His thoughts, his ideas, his call to humanity for justice, sharing, right relationships and peace, will take place silently, telepathically.
Each of us will hear him inwardly in our own language. In this way, he will re-enact on a worldwide scale the true happenings of Pentecost 2,000 years ago.
The story you are about to read is the story of a light-bringer, a way-shower. He will be the first to insist that there is nothing special about anything that he has done.
Yet there is no other that has gone before him and walked his path.
One of Salman Ahmad’s first efforts to raise awareness about poverty and HIV will be to take
part in the London leg of the global music event ‘LIVE 8’ which will take place on Saturday 2
July. His band Junoon have been invited to perform alongside the world’s top artists
including U2, Sir Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Sting, Madonna and Coldplay in the ‘LIVE 8
call for justice for Africa and the world’s poor’ ahead of the G8 summit four days later. The
London concert is one of a series of simultaneous free concerts being performed around the
world. Hundreds of thousands of people will attend the concerts and billions more are
expected to tune-in to international broadcasts.
