I am going to preface this thread with few statements:

1) If you choose to believe differently than I do, great, if you do not, great.

2.) These are simply my opinions and suggestions.

3) This is the Internet, if you do not like my opinion, or my thoughts, great.

4) While I may or may not agree with you, I will treat you with respect, I expect the same.

5) My views may clash with yours, if they do, I expect to be disagreed with.

6) I will discuss this particular thread, fully knowing we are all grown adults, so please no rhetorical statements or personal attacks.

I was going thru Man Jailed For Cartoons Of Children thread. I saw lott of views on there.

Now just few days ago a Sex Robot was unvieled called Roxxy

This bot offer many personalities which can be downloaded.

Remember the term Pedophile definition is:

Now my question to the board is suppose if tomorrow a small sized bot is made for the above purpose which is programmed with personality of kid.
Now there is no "child" or "minor" involved, it's a machine...I am not sure but I think currently there are no laws against any such machine.

So help me understand how would it be wrong? Would you deem it wrong? If so why? It won't affect anyone in real life so how it is wrong? So should laws be made to ban any such activity, if so why? Should Govt. look into this aspect and enforce laws if so why?

I know this is a touchy subject and that is why I want to discuss here with an open mind.

Last but not least please follow all ATS T&C and post within it's rules. This thread is only to discuss the viewpoint between humans and machines nothing else.

I answered this question in the other thread where you posed it, so i hope you don't mind if i basically cut and paste my response.

This stuff needs discussing before the robots become very cheap and very lifelike. Will we allow child sex robots? Of course everyone will scream no, but what are the other options available? If we ban them then the peadophiles will go out and find a real child. Surely it is better if they can use a robot to fill their need. Horrible, disgusting, not someone i would ever associate with but it may very well be a solution to drastically reducing abuse of real children.

For me as long as the individual involved does not hurt anyone and as long as they do not post videos of themselves with their robots online or show them to a child then they can do whatever they like. I go back to my usual standpoint regarding freedom of expression.

What is wrong about it December is that someone has to stoop to the level of buying a machine to give and receive affection and sexual release.
That is truly a shame the dimensions of which I cannot begin to describe.
It makes me realize how fortunate I am to have a living, breathing PERSON as a partner in life.
I don;t object to the marketing of such an item, just that anyone would actually NEED something like that.
If it was 2 feet tall and talked like little orphan annie it still wouldn't be kiddie porn IMO, just a smaller robot.
If this is truly representative of our society then we are in deep doo-doo folks.

If a "child bot" was made for sexual use, it would obviously get a lot of people worked up. Personally, I think it would be absolutely disgusting, but no one is getting harmed in the process and it is not infringing on anyones rights or freedoms, so I see no reason for such a thing to be illegal. In fact making it illegal would actually be infringing on the freedom of people to have such a machine.

If it is moral or not, is another question ... although such a machine would most likely be banned though for as you are aware the government is even banning cartoons images that depict minors in a sexual context, and unless views change I doubt this "child bot" would ever be allowed in the United States legally. Laws will most likely be made to enforce such things, because that is what the majority of the people would most likely want ... all in the name of the children.

I agree with what ImaginaryReality1984 said though, and I believe such "child bots" to be a better alternative to the real thing.

It's a cliche...sex has been exploited by every emerging technology. Egyptian carvings at Karnak, Roman mosaics of orgies, middle age pornography from the new printing presses. Photography and film...porn. Internet? The old bbs were stuffed with UFO conspiracies and txt files of porn.

Humanity is dependent on sex for a million reasons...one of which is pretty obvious!

Machines and humans seems pretty distasteful, but it's inevitable that some point in the future it will be commonplace. Brothels, knocking shops, glory holes and all that stuff will have the choice of robots. In the midst of all that will be robot fetishists that can't get past a resting pulse-rate without hearing the erotic whirr of Chinese-built servos! Bzzzzzzzzzzz..."Oh X3-11! Your motors are turning me on baby!" Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Maybe child sex robots could be used as a cognitive or therapeutic approach to curb/minimise sexual feelings towards little kids. As a last resort a 1000 volts through the genitals from something previously associated with pleasure could be classed as aversive therapy?

The future will be full of these things...naturally the rich'll get them first. They're never too late when it comes to riding the 'new fetish bus.' Woot woot!

well i guess technically there couldnt be anything the law could do about it, but i would be upset if they chose to make a machine like that for it being highly immoral

If such a thing were made then i am sure the majority would be against it morally speaking (including me), however i would not protest it because in the end no one is being harmed and indeed it could actually save children from abuse.

Morals and the law are often at odds. Although i think any company making such an item would be out of business quickly as people would probably fire bomb the factory lol.

There are a lot of sick people in the world. It save to say there is nobody around who never ever has a fantasy or thought some one else would label sick.
Shame is just the same. In the eye on the beholder to think shame or acting it.
Chinese burp after dinner. A compliment to the cook. Would you do on your first date ?

People should stop pushing there moral opinions trough other peoples troth !
If there's no victim their is no crime.
Let some one be.

Show the respect he shows, not complaining about everything he dislikes or feel shame for about you.

Hang on what about the people who struggle to find a willing partner? Are they to be left without any sexual contact? In the future i can assure you, as robots become insanely advanced and are able to mimic humans you will see a masive rise in robotic prostitution. Just like the film A.I.

It's all well and good to say it's wrong when you and i have someone to satisfy our needs but many people don't. In fact that is why traditional prostitution is still alive and well. You cannot hold the moral high ground and at the same time condemn people to be alone.

To post to your reply in good sense and with senseability isn't that hard my friend. As I also believe that no one should go without someone. Not for one second do I ever take for granted having someone to love.

I am not insesnsitive to those who don't. I get choked up just talking this way to be sure. Always gets pepper in my eyes.

I have stopped saying anything bad about Obama recently, in respect of only one thing the man has done lately. The commercial he has recently

Despite what can be said for his motives behind it.
That is nothing compared to the positive message the commercial sends.
All it does is remind men everywhere to take time out to be a Dad everyday.
Considering the fact that is the greatest thing any man can hope to ever be.
Obama has won my respect in a big way.
I just never expected to see anything like that from a politician.
Good for him.
What do I mean in mentioning this?
He may have started a trend towards the above topic and the resolution
to a problem that mankind would do great to occupy himself with.
