Heheh. Quite funny.

However, as you pointed it, it is just *some* and certainly not a representation of all Americans. As much as I dislike the US, the same silly people can be found everywhere.

I figure if someone were to question Brits on similar questions, you'd get a very sad percentage of those questioned giving just as ridiculous answers

People are stupid the world over.

I suspect that these people are not in the minority

I suspect that many people were filmed who did not appear in the video. You're simply seeing the most entertaining results.

The problem, IMHO, is that the institutions of public schooling are discouraged from educating the masses in civics

As a matter of fact, if you search "civics" in youtube, for example, guess what comes up overwhelmingly...

I bet even the people in these stupid videos know this one.
Even when using an online dictionary, (I use www.dict.org)
It is amazing how little a definition is given.

I just want to point out to everybody reading this thread, its got nothing to do with me attacking every single american citizen on this site or otherwise. It is about being aware of the world you (passive) live in.

IMO The main reason why the world is like it is now is because of American Politicians. (Looking at the board everyday on this site I think that is something we can universally agree on).

The two videos mentioned in the OP as I said before reflect only a small amount of people that are uneducated in regards to the war.

In one particular video a question was asked,

Question: Do you support the governments stance on Kyrgystan

Response: What? I have no idea

Question: Kygystan, its central asia, the president says that Kyrgystan is a threat to US security do you support him in that ?

Response: Oh yes.

Am I the only one that finds that worrying? I have been touring all around america and I have witnessed first hand how people in the USA are unaware of what is going on around them. If the government says put your head in the oven for homeland security how many would do it?

Just in case you STILL think that I am tarnishing ALL americans please re-read my original post. I stand by the fact, from experiences and information I have researched, A large amount of US citizens are uneducated in wordly affairs and do not pay significant attention to other countries affairs.

Right try spinning that.
