I found this link which has a list of what other parts of vegetables can be eaten (as opposed to just the normal part we eat). Don't know how tasty they'd be but it's useful to know.

Be careful experimenting with plants not on this list for eg, rhubarb leaves are poisonous but the stalks are edible.

Thanks for that link.
It's a nice, simple reference chart that can be easily printed off for commonly planted garden foods. Edible leaves for specific plants is good knowledge to have.

Great thread.
It always surprises me what people throw away!
The core of the broccoli stem is the BEST - better than the tops in my opinion! Same for cauliflower. And the leaves of both! What a great light soup!
And radish! Don't throw away those greens! Oh my goodness no! Clean them up good, boil them and add some spaghetti broken into little pieces.
I could go on and on but that's what the chart is for huh! lol
