The fact that we raise children so long is unique. And a very usable quality in itself. By having both parents there, and spending a long time raising a child, allows the brain to mature. It allows it time to take in more information. Which has led to intelligence.

But makes certain that we do not "breed like bunnies."

The average woman if she lives through her entire fertile years under ideal conditions will max out at around 8 to 10 children. More likely 5. Maximum of 20 or so.

What you are asking is a personal question that depends on personal fitness, strength, agility, etc.


But in perfect form, the human body is MADE for survival and is extremely resilient.

Staying indoors all the time, your skin not being used to the cold, things like that, being out of shape in general and tiring easily, would not make for good qualities during a survival situation.
