ATS 2010 - Part Three - Dark Meat or Light Meat?

Dark FTW!

Can we contribute any ideas, though? Is it going to be that plain?

I definetely prefer the dark background! Much easier on the eyes.

1 year of lurking 2-3 years of membership i used light once ... Eeeeewwwww

I vote Dark

Dark meat is tastier, higher in fats, and lower in eye strain.
I vote for dark meat.

Dark is easier... Maybe we can pick our own skins.

I am going for dark as well. I do love how it is now that you can change between dark and light, but for me it's dark.

I vote for dark. The white hurts my eyes and, as others have said, the dark gives ATS a distinct feel that is different than most forums.

Good question. I'd have to say the dark background. It's alright like it is too. Thanks for asking for everyones opinion!

I like the dark, when I read the site at night it doesn't blind me. I also find it much easier on my eyes.

Optometrists recommend light text on dark for computer users.

Although the dark meat is better, I'll have to say the bottom green button is not acceptable. It's the wrong font and the wrong color, it should be a little bit brighter.

I can give you a suggestion, look at atsnews.com, you'll see there're actually 2 sections there. The light meat of atsnews is actually easier to the eyes, good design, and that shade of light is quite commonly used in news websites.

The dark meat of atsnews is the ads by google section. Which is also very easy to the eyes. I always like the design of atsnews, unfortunately the design of the forum isn't like that.

I would lean towards the dark side, though the bottom line is a bit difficult to discern without straining these old eyes..

I will have the dark meat with the baked potato and carrots and the red wine.

Love the dark it gives ATS a different feel than other sites, a little more mysterious IMHO.

Dark meat is my choice. When I first registered here, I tried both. Dark background is unique and easy on the eyes.

PLEASE DISREGARD THE GREEN TEXT in the sample.

All we are looking for here is which text/background people like better.

On my old CRT monitor I hated the Dark. The background was black and the white text just glared. These newfangled flat screens, however, make the Dark a soothing grey.

It's what I started with and got used to.

It's also indicative of the ATS nature....conspiracies can be "dark".

I say you keep it exactly the way it is. It is very easy on the eyes.

i like the dark backround it feels less stressful then staring at a blinding white screen. You all always make it fun so im interested to see what the new design will look like.

I think the dark meat is better, the light version strains the eyes imo.
