Anonymous Unfurls ‘Operation Titstorm’

Several Australian government websites were slowly recovering Wednesday hours after the online prankster group, Anonymous, unleashed a massive distributed denial-of-service attack to protest the country’s evolution toward internet censorship.

The group, which has brought down Scientology’s websites and undertaken a host of other online pranks, dubbed the attack “Operation Titstorm” to protest the government’s move to require the filtering of pornography hosting adult actors if they appeared under age. Other violent material targeting children is also to be censored.

Operation Titstorm

First of all the name is great! When I read titstorm I almost fell out of my chair. This "anonymous" group really hits hard, and they don't like people messing with their internet. You have to watch this youtube video, it is quite ominous!

I was under the impression the government was censoring those "less endowed" up top....

This clears it up some, as well as your title.

Likes like a first step for internet shutdown in Australia...

It does look like Australia is getting a bit to controlling of the net. What do yo uthink about "anonymous'" guerilla tactics? I don't condone breaking the law, but there has been a push lately for net control, and I am glad someone isn't going down without a fight!

I think there is a difference between breaking the law agreed with by the people, and resisting unlawful supression imposed by those trying to control information one step at a time.

now, the question is, are these people making the laws and whatnot elected officals that ran on the platform of less liberty and information, or are they simply hijacking the people...if they are elected by the majority, then the hackers are criminals...if not, then the hackers are freedom fighters

Ah, once again, Anonymous strikes out against internet censorship. The means are unorthodox, but the cause is just; they're fighting for freedom of information.

They generally aren't much of a threat, being incredibly unorganized... But if this manages to hit home, I fear for Australia. Anonymous has members in the tens of thousands, if not more.

The beauty of it all; they are everyone, and they are no one.

Yes, someone has to do something as the rest of the population simply bends over and takes it without thinking.. Apathy is our way of life here.

Children seeing Porn is a concern. But do we educate parents to use their computer's in-built IE Content Advisor? No they don't. Instead we get these pathetic knee-jerk like reactions that bring Acts into effect. Acts which according to constitutional "law" can only be enforced if We Consent to them.. not enough people know this fact. And those that do know are met with Stone Walls at every turn, plus Police harrassment.

Most people don't know that using the IE Content Advisor they can select levels for suitable content available to their kids. And the few I know who do understand this simply can't be bothered with it since they are called to the PC by their kids to either allow or disallow a site all the time as the kids surf the net. Slackers!!! Better to put in the time now methinks.

Yes child pornography is a concern. And yes this is something that needs addressing quicky and effectively. The Federal Police have the means to seek and destroy sites that promote or hold child porn, so why aren't they doing it?

As for the rest of us, I am for free speech. I am for not censoring what adults may watch on the internet, with the exception of extreme violence, beastiality and child porn.... we don't need to feed these fetishes.

Just thought I'd document this as it started appearing yesterday. Well worth it's on thread here though. Just making sure the books are kept balanced.

Surely banning actresses with less than a B-cup is discriminatory?

Are they going to ban black guys from acting for having massive dongs?

It's a general assumption that younger females, such as those underage, have smaller breasts. Banning that size from film ensures that the standard population of underage females cannot enter the industry. Of course, there are exceptions but I'm not one for porn. But obviously, this isn't the place to argue against pornography.

Funny, how they are no where to be found on the Chinese front. That's where they really need to focus their attention. Is their aim to help the West or the World. If they really want to help humanity, they'll focus on China where almost 20% of the World's human beings live. Australia...like shooting fish in a barrel.

So, breast size will be used as an indicator of age huh... I must therefore be a deviant, since I dislike anything bigger than a B personally . Miss Anderson must be a octogenarian, never knew she was of such advanced age, sure looks after herself well then.

Might I dare ask... will this go for the men as well?

All the power to em in their fight. Seeing as Australia's attempting this, my own country is more than likely going to 'attempt' something similar, or at least it'll get suggested by someone in a few months.

Hmm just thought, maybe these idiots who think up these rules have a thing for monster knockers, and as such they're attempting to increase their 'lunch break' access to them by increasing the supply through the use of restriction?

I can kinda see that point of view.. if I pretend I have an IQ of 5.

Not all under 18 teens have small breasts... what the hell the lawmakers are thinking of, I cannot say.. since I would hazard a guess the majority have 18year old "mistresses" of their own at some point, you would think they'd have plenty of experience with whats "under age"...

Underage girls tend to be shorter. I think they should ban any actress under 5'5. That would be sufficient.

Because criminals obey laws.. all those under age porno producers followed the laws to begin with, so this will surely put them in line.

Yay for government!

I don't think "anonymous was so much concerned that the porn industry was being effected as much as the integrity of the freedom of the internet. If TPTB have their way WE WILL NOT HAVE THE INTERNET AS WE KNOW IT TODAY!!!!!

This is appaling. I for one will stand and fight, if somehow the gov't manages to implement the filter i will be first to get a proxy server running, however we shouldn't let it even get that far ahead. I love what anonymous is doing for us, fighting for freedom of speech, and freedom of information. I wish that more than a few of the population here would realise whats going on. Frankly i love my internet, and i will be damned if i get my internet filtered by some aholes in the gov't. I also believe that there is a chance that after this post i will have guys in black trenchcoats barging through my front door, if so, keep up the fight guys.

peace,

b0s
