While this is no suprise for the GOP, hypocisy has been their name for some time now, I doubt the Dems, many of them, are any different. They held majority for 1 year and a half and it became evident that even within that party there were those politicians only interested in their own political welfare, not those of their constituents.

So, please dont "look towards the dems" to do anything. Both parties have been corrupted within. Its a damn shame.

From an European way to see..US need to get the corps out of politic..as long as the corps are paying the politicians, the politicians newer will work for the people..what you needs dear friends are an Revolution..to reclaim your country from the big corps..

I love the screaming of socialism at every turn. So bailing out bankers (started under junior) or the auto industry (again it started under junior...or at least they came a beggin under him) is socialism? Especially given the fact that many banks have paid the TARP funds back already...and GM and Chrystler are on track to repaying their bailouts as well.

As for health care...go back to my opinion and reread it.

She is just as nuts to the left as they are nuts to the right. If you do not see this you are a shill or an idiot your choice. This is a game to confuse and impair you so you do not see the real truth hidden under all the hype. And America eats it up like a cheeseburger we are so weak of mind it sometimes makes me wonder if we are worth what the founding fathers did for us so long ago.

Ok...you've attacked the messenger...how about addressing the message? Is she wrong on this count?

I don't know why you all are surprised. Both democrats and republicans alike have been doing this for years now.

Your right. I have seen this all my life, and it turned me off to politics all together. I wouldn`t trust any of them as far as I could throw them, not when the vast majority of them are bought and paid for on both sides.

Remember folks, just because you have no defense does not mean you should admit defeat. whenever you are shown something crystal clear, resort to the following methods

1) say both partys do it and it just sucks. (this allows for the lessoning of the slap you recieved and makes you look cool and apathetic at the same time)

2) talk about how the other guy/girl/party sucks more because of...(this way, the evils of your side seem almost forgivable, totally forgettable, total non issue)

3) State that the person whom spoke the words and identified the story is not of your party, therefore must be a idiot because the other party are anti-american idiots and your party is the last hope for intellectual patriotism..therefore, the message itself is by default invalid.

4) Admit that there is a problem here and you need to reconsider your blind faith in the propoganda you have been fed, then try to open your eyes to see what the people in question are saying, why they are saying it, what they are actually doing, and why they are doing it...

hahahaa, just kidding about that last one of course...Never admit defeat, never spend a moment thinking. Ideals and propaganda is way more important than facts and cognitive processes.

The other big lie that the GOP is hawking these days is that the deficit is Obama's fault.

To be fair he has certainly added to it...HOWEVER

In 2004 the GAO reported that even with the illegal invasion of Iraq we would still be running a surplus if junior's massive tax cuts for the wealthy had not taken place.

Yes they were that big. Think about that for a minute...if those tax cuts had not taken place we would still be running a surplus...even with two wars on our hands.

NOW....I will give junior Afghanistan...but imagine how much of a surplus we would have been running without the invasion of Iraq or said tax cuts.

It is possible that even with the recession and Obama's spending projects we could still be flush or at the very least better off than we are now...

BUT NO....the GOP will not admit that because that would be to own up to their failed policies.

Society can simulate dissident voices and "open debates," yet maintain monopoly on what's allowed to be said and done. then there is the future possibility in increasing the process of oversocialization, that is, the method of making people adapt their ideas, values, and personal opinions, so that they as much as possible conform to the central, public image. As women today are working outside of their homes, our children are instead being cared for at day care centers that are run by government funding. From there they move on to school where they learn most of their social, cultural, and political ideas and values - and of course all public schools must follow the basic educational system that is set up by the government. In between this we have TV-shows, magazines, radio, music, books; the list could be made long. It's questionable whether most people are able to think as independently outside of the public image, not to mention what they base their ideas and values on; their source of information stems from what correlates to what the government has set out for them. In this sense, one could say that industrial-Democratic societies function like very clever dictator systems: the people think it is "free," while the state only offers one side of the truth - a truth with modification

Republican train of thought --> Just say no until it pisses them off!

No, but seriously that is one messed up "tactic" they have, just object and refuse till the tables are molded directly to what they want, rather then working for a common ground.

It is selective truth completely devoid of facts like over 70% of voters are opposed to the Health Care Plan. Divert attention from anything important by keeping everyone at each others throats.

How anyone can take either side amazes me. It like deciding between being eaten by a Lion or a Polar Bear; does it really matter?

Both sides leaders lie so much they don't even know what the truth is. Amazing anyone would point out a lie by one party to cover up for lies by the other. Obama is on tape lying so many times he may be setting a new record. So is Bush. What is the difference? There is none.

Keep falling for the Partisan shell game and they control you. As long as you are running around hating people just because they don't believe exactly as you do, you are doing just what both sides want you to do. Hate is their stock and trade. There is not a hair widths difference between the true agenda's of both sides. While your eye is on hating the other Party, both Parties are picking your pocket and deciding how to control you completely.

It's worked for so long now, it's hard to believe people will ever smarten up.

Both Parties share the guilt for the Deficit equally. Amazing how easy people are to fool.

Up until last week the Democrats could do anything they wanted. They had the votes to do it.

Who needs Republicans?

Oh wait......I forgot that even Democrats are not totally united with this Presidents agenda. Some Democrats actually have the gall to go against their party and actually listen to their constituents. They are frightened for their jobs.

The only bi-partisianship I see is Democrats joining Republicans to stop CSPAN Obamas dangerous agenda.

The only hypocrisy I see is locking the door to Republicans and getting angry when they get tired of knocking on the door and going home.

As Rush Limbaugh put it....not only should the Republicans be the party of NO, they should be the party of Hell NO!

Rush Limbaugh should be applauded. Who else had the cajones to say "I hope he fails." ?

For the good of the country, Obama must fail. It's working out good so far!

Democrats had enough votes to do whatever they wanted to do, without one single Republican vote. They blew it! Now angry Democrats are blaming Republicans for doing the same thing that some Democrats didn't want to do?

That makes no sense at all!

This is how it works for both parties. It doesn`t matter which party is running things, the party that didn`t win goes around putting down everything the other party stands for to make them look bad. But remember, the party that lost, lost for a reason, mainly, for not doing their job in the first place. Then when the tables are turned in the next election, the same thing happens all over again.

So long as the republicans can prevent the democrats from doing anything they can give the illusion of the democrats not accomplishing anything while in office and can, hopefully, have another majority come this next election cycle.

The president has brought it up many times, for those of you more concerned about his use of teleprompters, the republicans are more concerned with getting re-elected than they are with actually governing.

gee whiz...
it's called politics. it's how yer reps do it.

i have voted constitution party for the last several elections... no, they'll never win... but the thought of democrats/republicans continuing to lie to me makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

were you not following politics a few years ago, and the dems response/opposition to george w. and ANYTHING he suggested?...

or to the GOP and their love for bill clinton?

hypocrisy? YES.

but it's part of the problem with yer beloved 2-party system. live with it.

What amazes me is that people keep saying its been going on for a long time when in actuality is hasn't. I am old enough to remember.

While the Democrats fought junior the government was not deadlocked...at least up until the 06 elections...and even they worked with him and the GOP when they could.

The closest we have had to this was during Clinton's second term when the GOP attempted essentially a coup d'état but even then work got done.

This type of paralysis did not happen during the adult Bushes term or Reagan's either...the government went forward and nominees were confirmed or rejected but it happened...not this perpetual blocking.

And the big fat blowhard is wrong. This is not good for the country.

it has been going on a long time. Not real long, but i can remember in the Clinton years quite a few family members of mine not receiving a paycheck for 2-3 months while the politicians could quit haggling over the budget.

Before that, no it wasn't that bad. But the point is, an entire generation is now used to this type of behavior. It has been going on long enough that half our nation expects it to happen.

Let me ask you this: during the Reagan years, would you have seen the WH Press Secretary get up and poke fun at a Sarah Palin, like Gibbs did yesterday?

I am not putting the blame on the white house, only saying that they all are scoundrels.

For all that are interested, I am a member of GOOOH.org. Look into it. Get Out Of Our House is not something i support totally, but i support the concept of "return government to The People."

To start, we could put in term limits. But that is another story altogether.

Sorry, it's not politics, it's treason.

To deliberately weaken one's own country is an act of treason.

The Republicans in Congress are traitors, pure and simple, selling out the country, hell, selling the country to the highest bidders, a piece at a time.

They should be stripped of their citizenship, declared personae non grata and dropped off in the least amicable hellhole available.
