The UK's emigration, and not the immigration statistics, are going to be much more interesting to observe going forward. Can anyone say "white flight".

The last mass exodus occurred in the 1970s, when half the country wanted to escape to Australia - why? because a Labour government had so reduced living conditions in the UK that life there was simply miserbale.

Then there were the boon years of the Thatcher era, where moral sanity prevailed and Britons were once again put before the interests of lesser nations.

And now what happens, those diseased socialist parasites of the Labour party have struck again, socially re-engineering the UK into the processor of the world's sow's ears, and sitting expectantly at the end of the production line waiting for the silk purses to arrive, when what actually arrived were a large number of backpacks with bombs in them.

I'm sorry for you UK, but there's not much you can do, if the BNP are elected, the rest of Europe will shun you as social pariahs, and the BBC will go into overdrive to convince you about the evils of right wing social policies, and as for the Conservatives, elect them and you will see no real change.

Hi there! Im not really into this political rubbish, but will just say that all path's lead down the same road. No matter who gets elected to lead this once Great nation next.
But what i will argue is that being in the EU constitutes that immigration/emigration is fluid and allowed and that we are no a protectionist nation. We where nearly accused of that at the behest of the reccession.
Constantly the arguement for jobs will be brought up, and how British jobs are lost to Foreign nationals who seek work here in the UK.
Then we have companys who out-source their industrys that were once the backbone of the economy, with the excuse of cheap labour in diffrent countrys.
We can ask our selfs, ''have we out priced our selfs?'' or is it just the greedy cooporations just seeking that extra few pennie's in there all-ready huge wage packet..? (Thats put into banks that are located in a TAX FREE HAVEN.)
The thing i hate is that when-ever "Goverment stats" are taken, they say the 'working class' but honestly, in my opinion they should say 'Lower class,' because, in the light of the amount of money they (MP's) make they still claim that there not earning enougth, aswell as claiming expenses for duck houses e.t.c.
They dont really care enougth now, and you can see that with the way they all try to politicaly get 'one up' on another political party.. Watching BBC Parliment is like watching an episode of Arguemental on Dave.
And now we have to admit that the UK is at the mercy of extremists trying to wage war on our soil.
Extremists who have enterd our country by way of this back-door policy. Theres nothing we can really do, other than to hope that all suspects are watched to pre-empt any attacks.
I would still rather vote Labour instead of the Conservatives though.
And also, for anyone intrested, the Daily Mirror has been running some good storys on some of the conservative party members and exposing what pie's there 'soft hands' are in.
It helped sway my oppinion to Labour, because when you see what Brown has inherited, i think he's done the best that anyone can do. And at least we know how he allready runs a country as apposed to Camorons chums.

As a Scotsman even I am saddend to see the demise of the English stiff upper lip, no matter how you cut it the English as a whole have no identity left.

Watch a Discovery program about the war and you will almost always hear about the English people are there fighting spirit.

Now when I look at England I see nothing but a hodgepodge of no go area's for (insert minority here) a lack of morals and a drive to keep up with the Jones.

My grandfather was English and fought with in the RAF I think his generation where among the last of the true Englishman.

I have nothing against immigration and just looking at the vindaloo curry that was an indian invention for the English population thats intergration at its best. Ideas from one culture crossing over but people still being able to keep there heritage.

I am a firm beleiver that if anyone decides to move to a differnet country you live by there rules accept/repsect there culture or you just don't move there.

Personally I would not move to say Sudia Araba because I don't like the way they live but if I did move there could you imagine of what they would say if I said "well I am a christian your beliefs offend me so you can't practice them openly"

That is what large groups of immigrants have been allowed to do by the goverment and that in turn has killed off the English identity.
