Well i guess its a good thing we are not at war then? Congress has not declared war since World War II.

The President has used his power as Commander-in-chief(head general) to send the troops on military engagements.

If anything we should blame congress for not asserting their authority and cutting all funding for these engagements.

And to everyone bitching about the topic, or the way the thread has been going i direct you to the top of this page where it clearly states

"This forum is dedicated to the discussion of the state of divisive politics in the US including political ideology, politicians, political figures, politics in the media, and speculation of conspiracy theories related to the divisive state. Participants should be aware that this forum is under close staff scrutiny. Because of the inherent distrust of government by conspiracy theorists, discussion topics and follow-up responses in this forum will likely tend to be highly critical of the current administration."

If you don't like it go to another topic, or feel free to debate the topic at hand, but really no need to whine like you blame the college kids of doing.

General Petraeus is not happy. Looks like they are having problems and he is one of the few that realize it.

"The team had been dispatched by CENTCOM commander Gen. David Petraeus to underline his growing worries at the lack of progress..."

"Everywhere they went, the message was pretty humbling," a Pentagon officer familiar with the briefing says. "America was not only viewed as weak, but its military posture in the region was eroding."

Betrayus should be hanging from a lamp post for what he has allowed and encouraged to happen...

Are you now singing a different and hypocritical tune today in defense of obama's choice for a new commander in afghanistan?

If so, let's dredge up some of those obama and biden speeches in the senate from 2007 where they called Petraeus a failure.

Oh, and let's not forget the moveon.org (leftist mouthpiece) ad that called him General "Betrayus". Bet they're singing a different tune today as well.
