In a well-coordinated offensive, pro-government Basijj militiamen in civilian dress hurled rocks and eggs at the Italian and French embassies in Tehran Tuesday, Feb. 9, shouting death to their respective leaders.

Debkafile has been reporting the possibility of embassy attacks in Iran for weeks. (staged by Basij Militiamen, none the less). It turns out Debka is spot on once again. They are not accurate 100% of the time, but no journalism can be, seeing as the news depends on one perspective or another. (Think of how the winner writes the history book).

In any case, aside from my obvious paid endorsement of Debkafile (Jokes ), this is really quite interesting. The article points out that by raising the level of tension with thewest, the Iranian government can effectively call opposition out as foreign spies, CIA, Mossad, etc., if they choose to protest. This gives the Gov't a great home front advantage. Wether it is enough to stop the so called "green tide", remains to be seen.

I think what happens with Debka is that what they report is true "at that time". However, by the time that the powers that be intervene many times behind the scene, the events are changed and nothing ever happens.

In this case they were right again and the events on the ground havent changed by the time the mainstream media has picked up on it.

I'm pretty sure that the media will be doing more of that "stunning" than Iran themselves. The coming days will make Iran look like Satan himself. Be objective people and don't fall for the brainwashing. As the great Bush would say...fool me once shame on you....a fool can't be fooled twenty times.

Well, I am a little worried about the next few days, but Iranians throwing rocks and eggs at various embassies in Tehran is so not new! They've been doing it for at least fifty years. It's lame, really.

Actually, eggs would be a bit unusual for Iranians and that also makes me a little suspicious of this story...but rocks yes, rocks are a very popular means of communication there.

Well I would not put it past Hesbola, Syria and Iran to try this stunt now that the U.N. has sat around and watched them funnel all kinds of banned weapons into southern Lebanon.

So, a bunch of civilians throw rocks at Embassies and it's reported that they are government militia, dressed as civilians. No evidence of such but hey, when did the truth actually matter?

As for the claim that Hezbollah is going to invade Galilee, what a crock! Hezbollah do not invade anyone, nor have they ever done so, so once again we have a BS claim by the Israelis playing current and future victims again, while crying the loudest for their perceived enemies to be slain, and for the rest of us to foot the bill. Such a deal!
