What tripe, and even if it were true and ahmadinejad is salivating at the chance to attack Israel and in turn getting hundreds of thousands/millions of his countrymen killed and cities being bombed to rubble. It doesn't matter, the buck stops at the ayatollah and it's his decision and not ahmadinejad's to make.

Well it appears that all this might go down a little quicker then I had originally thought. The THICK bottom line is that no matter what anyone says, whether its the U.N., United States, Russia or even China; Isreal cannot and WILL NOT allow Iran to obtain WMD's or weapons grade uranium. The leadership of Israel understands the seriousness and possible consequences of allowing them to obtain weapons grade uranium. Simply put it means that they will most likely try and launch a nuclear attack against Israel. I wish people could understand the simple truth here: There is NO AMOUNT OF DIPLOMACY that can change this inevitable outcome. Diplomacy only works when you are dealing with two REASONABLE people. The Iranian leadership unfortunately is NOT reasonable. They only understand war and death.


As I stated in a post a few weeks ago, the only chance Iran has is for their own people to revolt and overthrow the current leadership. It seems their time is getting less and less though. I honestly do hope that a resolution other then turning Iran into a pile of rubble is what the future holds; but realistically, I only see destruction in Iran's future.

Gakus is right; people need to open their eyes here and stop being so damn ignorant and optimistic. Say what you will about America and other Nuclear weapons capable countries, but the truth is that we understand the consequences and side effects of using Nuclear weapons. In the past 70 years since we've possessed them, they have been used ONCE, and that was to stop a world war. Just imagine if our president was a religious extremist who believed that God was telling him to wipe out all other religions that weren't his own. Unable to comprehend the consequences of his actions because GOD told him it was going to be OK, he would launch nukes all over the world and tell people that it's ok, it's apart of the bigger picture and if everyone cooperates then theres a boat loaf of virgins waiting for you at the pearly gates. GROW UP PEOPLE and understand that Evil exists when good men do nothing. As responsible, clear thinking human beings(ie the USA and other UN countries) it is our job to ensure that WMD's never reach the stockpile of extremist leaders.

There is ONE PIECE OF DIPLOMACY , if the US GOV grew a backbone and proclaims it does not CONDONE the use of Nukes, that Israel will be on its own if it did.

Can we blame Israel for considering this? Iran has been yapping about wiping them off the map for years, now that it seems Iran is going to reveal a nuke tomorrow (what some are saying), Israel may be in real danger and there needs to be a deterent given to Iran letting them know that if they are truly going to go down this road then they will be hit hard.

The sources that say those are bogus quotes have been shown to be sympathizers with the regime in Iran. These quotes are accurate and Amadinejad has over and over and over again on TV in interviews and other media made his hatred of Israel clear. Its not like he has been misquoted here, this guy is nuts and honestly feels that he is a tool of God to bring back the muslim messiah, scary..
