No one can really know for sure, so this is just abstract consideraration ... but I'm going to disagree with my fellow members above.

Yes all presidents have hidden puppeteers, but it is my belief that they are not necessarily the same all the time. I think this question is perhaps a good example of that.

Think about it ... if Gore was going to invade Iraq it stands to reason that Clinton (presumably serving the same masters) would have done it before him.

It is my opinion that Iraq was unfinished business for the Neocons and their MIC buddies and they were going to orchestrate events to justify the invasion of Iraq as soon as the first Republican got into office. They bit their time for eight years while Clinton was president, they tried to kick him out of office for a hummer, and they all but stole the Bush - Gore election. Those things don't happen by accident imho and lead me to believe that all this was planned in advance as they were waiting for the democrats to lose the office of the president.

If Gore had been elected they would have probably waited for the next opportunity when they have "their guy" in office.

Of course like I said, this is all speculation based on connecting dots that perhaps are unrelated ... truth is, we'll never know.

I think he would have. At the time, most of the major intelligence organizations were certain of WMDs in Iraq. Now you can argue legitimately if that intelligence was compromised, and if so, by whom.

Confronted with a scenario where their is public discussion of WMDs and a depiction of an insane Hussein (you can also argue that), I think it would been politically quite difficult not to go in.

Whether or not he would go into Afganistan is an entirely different matter. I think he would not have done that, hence I do think it matters who is president.

I think Gore is a loon and would have been a terrible president, but I don't think he would have made what I think is a terrible decision to go into that Afgan hell hole.

I also can't for the life of me believe that Obama doubled down on that folly

This whole thread is theoretical. I assumed that went without saying.

My *assumption* has already been explained. They were/are members of the same cabal. They come from the same schools of thought. They are members of the same groups. They are working for the same goal.
