Help identify the meaning of a variation of the great seal, page 1

it would help to know where you stumbled across this at. I have never seen a bill with this seal and I suspect that it's just a photoshop thing. If it's real, then this bill shoudl be worth a good bit from a collector standpoint since it's so rare. Now as to the meaning, lets frist verify if it's even real.

ASSUMING for the sake of argument that this is a genuine seal on a genuine bill, then i'd interpret the design to mean;

The new, breaking away from the old.

New order?

A new order, built upon the foundations of the old one.

Ol' snake eyes doesn't look too pleased about the upstarts, so maybe it's a good thing.

My guess is it's faked though, just to get a reaction.

As far as I know, it isn't fake.
The image I provided is a screenshot I took from an episode of The Woodwright's Shop, which can be found HERE.

In the episode, Roy is comparing the way a certain wood joint slides apart as the pyramid appears to on "an old dollar bill".

I have never seen one of these bills before and was just wondering if anyone here had.

Sorry to disappoint anyone who thought I was a hoaxer.

I also have no reason to suspect that Roy Underhill is a hoaxer either, so I remain curious.

So he faked a prop to emphasize a point about how bricks meet. Still doesn't prove any such bill was ever in circulation. The seal was never put on the dollar bill until 1935 and it has remained essentially the same ever since.

Lol, well despite your "knowing" and despite your "curoiusity" It is fake and it is a hoax and it is a photoshop job and that can be easily determined by pretty much anyone by simply looking closely.

It's fake. It's kind of funny too! lol

I'm not sure how you were able too look real close though considering the image being pixellated blowup of a screenshot..
