Here is a link to the google home page. There's nothing different about it all, which is why it's so strange. It's not the usual Google!
www.google.com...

Google usually employes graphic designs and multicolored fonts to commemorate or at least acknowledge a significant event.

It seems strange to me that they would not have any sort of logo or mention of the SuperBowl at all.
If it's like this all over the place I would surprised as hell. But google's home page is standard across each country is it not?
I don't know the tech part of it, but this is the biggest game of the year in pro football.
And google has nothing to celebrate it on their home page?
Odd, isn't it?

Maybe it's due the some possible legal issues.

Or maybe Google is more anti-America than we know.
We'll wait and see what they do with the World Cup, or whatever they call that soccer championship game.

Hey, Alxandro. What possible legal issues are you thinking of?

They MIGHT BE more anti-american than we think

It will be interesting yes, though I think it's the sort of thing that could involve Google not getting paid, ya know?

They might be like, why should we do it for free? Billions are spent just to advertise on that game's commercials.

Legal issues that deal with exactly what you pointed out.
They're not getting paid so why advertise and promote the game.

It can't be due to advertising. Google just showed an ad during the superbowl.
So why is there no decoration on their homepage if it's not about that?

I had seen that Google ad at least two days before the SuperBowl, can't remember where though.

Old news now, but perhaps I should have used a word such as "stipulation" instead, since "legal issues" conjurs up acts of arbitration between two opposing legal factions.
Maybe it had to do more with "ego", leading to an arrogant standoff between Google and the Super Bowl, with one trying to get the last word in.
It's possible Google said, "fine we'll pay your overpriced $3 Million for 30 seconds price tag, but we won't modify our logo!"

Or maybe the Google graphic designers were on vacation?

Or maybe they really do hate America?

Whatever the case, I'll be watching how they handle the world cup of soccer.
See you then.

It was brilliant when you wrote "It's possible Google said, "fine we'll pay your overpriced $3 Million for 30 seconds price tag, but we won't modify our logo!"

I think you have hit the nail on the head, Alxandro. With that kind of thinking you deserve the dos equis and the ladies that you always enjoy in your commercials

I don't often hit the nail on the head, but when I do, I prefer to do it on ATS, er BTS.
