I have been reading the ATS website since I first was told about it back in 2004 when I resided in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have always enjoyed the ideas presented on the site as they are, to say the least, thought provoking.

The ATS mission statement to Deny Ignorance surely has been front and center so far as the ATS community is concerned with many well educated persons posting ideas that allow the standard individual to open up to new ideas as well as new technology.


For certain one idea has been on ATS since I have first started reading the site. This idea being that the USA has been painted as a oppressor rather than being painted as a beacon of freedom. I challenge this idea.

The tree is known by its fruit would be a saying that American's and Canadian's hear every Sunday morning.

It would seem that the US has a long history of bringing liberty to all rather then oppression.


A brief history shows this fact.

We conquered both Europe and the Pacific after WW2. Russia did the same.

All countries under the thumb of the US prospered. Japan became a economic power house with the Japanese people largely given freedom even after they ruthlessly killed millions of American and Canadian boys.

West Germany prospered as well becoming a European economic powerhouse. And then with the help of the CIA and the American Goverment Germany was united less then a generation after President John F. Kennedy said that we are all Berliner's.

China was given trading status with the US after Kissinger laid out negotiations with Chairman Mau.

The US and Canada have given the world the gift of flight, the gifts of computing, telecommunications, Nuclear energy, space travel, rock and roll, blues, jazz and the film industry.

The US and Canada adopted far reaching human rights fighting slavery, child labor, oppression of women, oppression of gay persons, oppression of those who have radical ideas (free speech) and the list goes on and on.

Farm and agriculture production was developed here and the technology has been exported throughout the world.

Even though the west has made many errors the end results are generally good if the NATO countries and the United States of America are allowed to prevail.

True we have made errors but overall the US and NATO champion freedom as well as the spread of knowledge and technology.

The ATS community needs to continue to Deny Ignorance and rightfully acknowledge that both the US and Canada (NATO) have been a force for good in this world bringing hope to the oppressed.

I for one believe in the general principals held by the west. That is justice, freedom and the right of the individual.

History shows that even though we have made many mistakes as a society still export the idea of justice, freedom and the right to pursue happiness.

What do you say ATS members?

Bring freedom is mostly a question of what perspective you are looking at the issue from. Example: what is right for you is not always right for others and vice versa. We need to stop puttin our nose into other counties affairs, and deal with the internal issues within out own countries before dealing with other's.

Also, we must not forget that by going out into the world and "bringing peace and democracy" we created terrorism. Terrorism is a response to the covert invasion of the Islamic world by Mossad and the U.S. in order to impose their ideologies. Terrorism, in the big picture, is (possibly un-intentionally) the byproduct of foreing strategy. Any American or Canadian would fight like they do if their ideologies or sovereingty was attacked...

Excellent post, seems to many people get caught up in individual wrongs to appreciate what this country really is, and what it has accomplished. Star and flag for you.

I know most Americans like to think they saved our "butts" in WW2, but iit wasn't untill you were attcked at Pearl harbour that you decided to help out, meanwhile The RAF was fighting off the German Luftwaffer, in the Battle of Britain and the nation was preparing to fight the Germans on the beaches. Good job you turned up in the end.

I think The U.S. (which the majority on ATS) live in, is like a family. Let me explain:

As a family you can fight, side with or against one another and battle & bicker as to what's right/wrong, have a more intimate feeling on certain issues and bitch & moan.

But in the end we will always stand up for one another and defend each other when an outsider starts to bash one of the family around. With that in mind, most families have a blacksheep that just isn't worth the effort

I think this family knows the house is out of control. Just need to figure out how make it right again.

There is nothing in my previous post that mentions anything about not expressing your love of a country. Nothing at all.

Point being is that I think you'll find most people are proud of their countries. I'm proud of mine.

Yours is no better than mine though.

As for the global community - the United States of America is a part of the world. The world, however, is not the United States of America.

There are 6 billion people on the planet and only 308 million of them in the USA make up that total. The US exists in the world, not outside of it.

Thats nothing to do with the NWO, and its all to do with the realities of the world.
