I agree with you Christianity as a religion have nothing to do with it as I mentioned in OP. But why are more and more Priests/ Popes indulged in such acts? It perhaps is the reason due to the restriction of sex? Or easy access to kids?

It doesn't have anything to do with either of those options. These are evil men in every sense of the word. It doesn't seem to be more and more Priests, it is more and more victims of a group of Priests. All Priests take a vow of celibacy, not all Priests are pedophiles, the majority of Priests are more than able and willing to uphold that vow in all that it means.

What you are saying could be true, but tell me as I am not entirely sure is there a law which forbids Priests/ Popes from marrying? If there is maybe it's the reason why these Popes/ Priests commit such acts to satisfy their sexual needs from easy access of children's.

I wasn't going to get involved in this discussion because I have my own issues with these people from my own childhood and it make me too angry, which usualy ends up with a post ban but I had to baulk at your comment;

There is hardly anything "biblical" about Catholicism... Do some research my friend.. For a start this vile church has soo much blood on its hands its unreal... What is "christian" about killing thoise who would not convert? The political power plays; did not Yeshua say that His kingdom is NOT of this earth?? Who made the pope G-ds mouth piece?? G-d didn't!! In fact in Mathew 23 He told us to not call ANYONE on earth father/rabbi/teacher because we are all one. Read Mathew 23, its a real eye opener to what G-d thinks about man made organised religion.
There is no evidence of Peter being in Rome either so how could he be the bishop of it?? Then there is the bringing in of pagan doctrine in the chuch... Turning all the old roman gods into saints, changin the day of the sabbath and the list goes on.. Praying to saints and to mary even though Yeshua said there is but one way to G-d and that was theough Him, so how can this abomination of a church even begin to speak for G-d???

In the book of Revelation Yeshua say to the people who are in the church that is located in the "7 hills" of rome to GET OUT OF HER, lest you share in her sins...

It happens in every profession just search "(any profession or religious denomination) sex abuse" and you'll find plenty of stories.

The MSM just likes to beat up on the Catholic Church. Being a huge worldwide organization, they're bound to have some problems in every corner of the world. There's also the hypocracy factor.

It's not something thats restricted to the priesthood or to any profession, it's just an unfortunate part of the human condition.

I am soooooo not a G-d hater.... I love G-d with everything I am... I hate how His people have been conned.. BTW I'm not a catholic but a Jewish believer in Yeshua HaMoshiac, so i'm not liked very much by my own people too!!! So I have had my own persecutions from both sides yet "it still works out" very well for me.....

In her foreword, the lawyer, Sylvia Demerest cites a 1995 survey of 19,000 treating professionals, funded by the National Centre on Child Abuse and Neglect. The study found that in the US, 94% of abuses by religious authorities were sexual in nature.

Over half of these cases (54%) involved perpetrators and victims who were Catholic, even though Roman Catholics comprise only 25% of the United States population. The minor victims of priest abuse are overwhelmingly boys and teenagers, (80&SHY;90%), which is contrary to the pattern of abuse in the general population. American studies are not the only ones which defy the assumption that clergy of all denominations abuse equally. The Briggs&SHY;Hawen study included 200 convicted child molesters in New South Wales, Australia. It found that 93% of convicted and imprisoned child molesters had themselves been sexually abused as children and 60% stated that they had been abused by a Catholic priest or Brother.
