There are ten Americans being held in Haiti right now against their will. It is said
there being held for offenses of child trafficing. Trying to smuggle 33 children across the border into the dominican republic. Their also members of a Christian group. Earlier today a judge denied their conditional release sending them all from
the detention center to mens and womens prisons. When one of the detained,
Laura Silsby, was asked what was going on? She replied,"We just don't know".

What I've been wondering is this. Ten Christian Americans detained right after
fat mouth Pat Robertson is quoted in the press saying he believes Haiti was targeted by God for their Satanic worship thru their practice of voodoo.

I was thinking on this and decided to put it to you guys/gals here.
I've come to the conclusion these people have been set up by the Haitian Govt.
in direct correlation to Robertson's big mouth. He hasn't made one gesture towards helping in their release. We know he has plenty of what it is going to take. i
myself am a believer always will be. I sure as hell am not of the chorus of an organised religion especially of the one Robertson is lavished by.

Pat Robertson is one of the least I would think of trusting. I don't believe he
walks in the light of what Jesus taught. The things he said were just wrong
true or not dosn't matter, they have nothing to do with what Christ
would expect from of one of his own. There are other things to like calling for an asassination on Hugo Chavez, the
guy just isn't right by along shot. Now after he is probably responsible for these people being detianed he isn't going to step up. Havn't heard a word from his azz since TSHTF, all tight liped now or what?
Any one else want to add something to this feel free, go where thou wilt.

I am disgusted at this guy claiming Christianity. I think he's anything away from that, yet it seems he can do no wrong .

Robertson's supposed to have a diamond mine in haiti, so why not trafficking in the DR?
I'll bet anything These people were patsies for his little operation, and they'll get the shaft while he relaxes in his multi million $$ mansion.

Dont worry jesus will fly down on his flaming harley davidson and rescue them! If not, they could always just wait it out and die in there... hey, they got an eternity in heaven to look forward to..... doing what ever it is you people think youll be doing in heaven.

The ten are in prison, because they have committed a serious crime. Child trafficking is no trivial offence. They weren't entrapped or set up. They were caught red-handed.

No one forced them to devise their crazy plan: “Collect 100 orphans for a yet to build christian orphanage in the Dominican Republic.” Also some of the snatched, traumatized children are no orphans. This does not reflect well on the group.

If the group wouldn't have been caught, dozens children would have been kidnapped and religiously indoctrinated. The children would have been separated from their families, friends and country. I have no pity for the group. Perhaps some parents have given their children for a chance of a better live. But we don't know this yet.

Regardless if with, or without parents consent, the group failed to do the paperwork. They didn't follow normal adoption proceedings. The Haitian government had given an explicit warning: “Normal adoption proceedings must be followed, even in this times of crisis.”

Definitely, a thoroughly criminal investigation is needed. The group may have acted with darker intentions. Child trafficking is a lucrative criminal business. Pedophile rings exist.

Even if they only wanted to help, some time in prison is the right experience for the group. They need to think about what they have done.

About Pat Robertson... I agree with you. He is a repugnant individual.

and so it begins, the end of organized religion. the pat robertson's of the world are like cockroaches scurrying around in the dark. when the light of truth is turned on they hide . i too think the 10 missionaries are mostly innocent the hatian govt is soo corrupt and quite frankly useless they need to show there people they are still in control so the 10 missionaries offerd them a perfect solution..... but if the reports of oil surpless is true then we know who is really incharge there or should i say occupying

And this man calls himself a man of God? Rich beyond dreams of pure greed, and accusing people of deals with the devil, when it's frikking obvious HE has penned a pretty meaty one for himself!

And people wonder why I left the faith.... Robertson and people like him.

There is a lot about this case that angers me.

If it is true these clowns were taking receipt of children from a 'Haitian priest' then why the lack of proper documentation? Have any of the ten shown any proof of their claims? Why does it seems the group is hanging in the wind?

If they are committing a crime, way to go, because it makes it that much harder for legitimate help to get to the poor Haiti children.

This case just makes me angry all the way around.
