Today, for the first, I saw the Boondock Saints and started thinking whether killing bad/evil people is okay. I was always against any sort of violence but honestly in today's world with all these gangs, drug dealers, rapists etc. I think killing them may be a viable option...What do you guys think?? Is it okay to kill bad people(who are clearly bad)??

That's what Dexter is all about.

My answer is absolutely not. The only time killing another human being is acceptable is in direct defense. Even that isn't a free pass. The baggage is incredible but at least you're alive.

We are engaged in a battle with enemies that want us all dead and will stop at nothing to accomplish that. The alternative to killing them is to just wait until they kill us. I don't think so. That is plain stupid.

Perhaps only those of us who work in the counseling/mental health fields can really and truly appreciate that statement.

No, it's better we lock them up and let them reflect on their actions.

If they force me to resort to self defense then I'm obligated to preserve my life any means necessary.

I agree with killing in the name of self-defense though.

and lets not forget that even Dexter has messed up and killed an innocent before, so I don't think his brand of justice is fool-proof either

I was bad once...a long time ago. I payed my dues and now I am not the same person I was back then. I'm glad no one killed me.

i think a good rule of thumb is is it worth jail time.

self defense is a no-brainer
if you threaten my family i would gladly spend the rest of my life behind bars to remove you as a threat.

and some folks just need killing like someone already stated,if i caught someone raping a child they'd never see a courtroom.

I know i have no right to judge but if there is a judgment type day i'll just have to call 'my bad,seemed like the right thing to do at the time' on it.*

I understand where you are coming from...that basically someone who hates Jews may call Jews evil or someone who hates Muslims may call Muslims evil but I mean more like unanimous decisions such as a cereal killer who has killed a few dozen innocent people. Would this person or other murderers, rapists or drug dealers okay to kill?

The way you judge (harshly or not ) is the way in which you shall be judged.
If you are OK with and can live with the fact that you judged someone to be worthy of death then you had better get ready to be judged the same ... (No chances,no forgiveness,no mercy no consideration for the life of others).



I say NO its never ok to deem someone else worthy of death when in fact all of us are actually worthy of death (many of us have done bad things) .And I am glad I was not killed for doing some of the things I have done .

What if that person were to be say...Charles Manson?? Why would it be wrong to kill him?? Am I not okay to deem him death worthy??

If you are defending yourself i have no problem with it. But im 100% against capital punishment or vigilantes no matter what the crime of the person is.
