Those facts are totally pulled out of Context.

The US military is small, but each soldier is equipped better than 3 platoons of Chinese regulars. This is a well known aspect.

We got to take things like this into account.

Logistics is extremely important too. And the USA has the logistic capability to deliver anything anywhere on Earth in a rapid fashion. China is lacking here and will take another 10-20years before they have this logistical capability.

Another point is "Where will the war happen at?"

#1 In the Pacific Ocean between navies/air forces.

The USA has a clear advantage over China navally and in the air as well.

#2 So the battle would unfold in Asia. And this would turn into bombing campaigns and the like.

There would be no "winners", but China would lose completely and the USA would only lose about 40% , imo.

The USA has China surrounded by bases within striking range. China has no base within striking range of mainland USA.

I am not counting nukes because they will not be used.

I am reminded of a conversation between an American military official and a Russian military official during the demobilization of their missiles and ours.

One of the Americans had figured out that there were 3 missiles not included in the official count the Russians had given us.

When asked about it the Russian said they were not nuclear tipped weapons.

He remarked,"Don't worry you know we would never attack America those are for China".

He indicated they were biological weapons.

The American looked at him as he continued.

"There is not enough lead on earth to make enough bullets required to kill all the Chinese".

The one that wins?... The French. They will sit out the next war, and since its to far away from them for them to be too worried about invasion, they will not even bother to send troops. China will bomb America and the Brits and anyone else foolish enough to side with them. America will bomb blast them off the map and all its allies will add their nukes and take out Russia just for good measure. now with Russia, China, America, Britain, Germany, Japan, Turkey out of the picture... We have The French taking over Europe. Iran or Saudi taking over the middle east. North Korea ( if they don't get nuked for good measure too) or the Philippines taking over Asia. Russia being divided among France, Iran, Philippines. Mexico and Canada (whats left of them) by a group of Native American first nations people. Who just happen to make a pact with Mexican Drug cartels to give them free access to the remaining people of north America. Since Cuba is also off the map We have South America now run by Venusualia(SP?). Australia will be the only untouched place on earth, Kind of fitting since it started as a prison colony, but Everyone forgets about Australia sadly. They will send in troops to help the Americans but no one targets them with a nuke.Presto the whole new world under 7 major powers who aren't at each others throat. Maybe piece will be achieved finally?

I think the amount of troops matters more...China's population is far greater and in desperate times if they needed more men to fight they have plenty. Their population being over a billion, say they lose 300 million(about the American population), they would still have more left over than what the USA started with, scary thought. I don't believe nuclear bombs would be used, America would fear Russian interference if they used them. Hard question to answer really without trying to consider allies. Basically China vs America = World War Three. Something like China, Russia, Iran vs America, England, Japan(these would probably be the main powers on each side).

there would not be what you would call winners in this...If a full scale nuke situation starts there is no way to contain it...It would go global darn near overnight.

Lots of mass graves and burning bodies. The actual way to effectively stop china would be by nukes... there is no other way unless you inclue short lived biological or chemical weapons...
